(Wizarding World) Newt Scamander x Reader

"You guys can come out now!!" You heard Queenie call. You followed Tina out of the case, to see that you all were on a roof. It was quite a pretty scene so you sat on the edge, feet dangling in the air. You heard Queenie and Jacob flirting again and saw that Tina and Newt were standing next to you. They were discussing the beast terrorizing New York.

"The only one we still need to catch is Dougal." Newt replied.

"Dougal?" Tina asked.

"Dougal the Demiguise." You replied for Newt, "He is the sweetest."

"Cool," Tina said, nodding.

"The only problem is that he's invisible." Newt muttered.

"Invisible?" Tina asked in disbelief.

"Uh, yes." You said.

TIME SKIP

You watched as Queenie and Tina changed their outfits to look like flappers. You got the memo and changed your pants and dress shirt into a (F/C) flapper dress that looked like this:

You saw Newt tie his bow tie before grabbing your hand and walking in behind Tina and Queenie. The speakeasy was bursting with magical life. The elf was singing a smooth jazz song and people were watching with grins on their faces.

You sat down at a table with Newt and Tina. "I've arrested half these people," Tina remarked looking around the room. You and Newt chuckled a bit. "If you don't mind my asking, what did we see in the Death Potion back there?" Tina asked you.

You stiffened and gripped Newts hand, "I was abused by my father my whole life, at least up until my third year at Hogwarts when Newt found out. He took  me in, let me live with him over the summer." You explained with a far off look, smiling a Newt in the end.

Then a goblin sat down at the table, him fingers made you a bit squeamish but you ignored it as to not be rude. You and Newt conversed with him, "You have a pretty big price on your heads Mr. Scamander and Mrs. (L/N). Why should I help you instead of turning you guys in?" He asked.

"I take it I'll have to make it worth your while?" Newt remarked.

"Let's consider it a cover charge." He said, sticking his cigar in his mouth. Newt slid over some gallons and the goblin scoffed. "MACUSA's offering more than that." Newt placed his lunascope on the table and the goblin rejected it again. Newt sighed before pulling a egg out of his pocket, you shook your head no, you wanted to raise that.

"Frozen Ashwinder Egg." Newt told him.

"Now we're talking," the goblin remarked, "Wait..." He said, holding out his hand, "That's a Bowtruckle. Right?" He said pointing to Pickett who was in your pocket now.

"No!" You screeched, holding your hand over the little green animals, "You're not getting Pickett!"

"Oh, come on. They pick locks, am I right?" He remarked with a smug look on his face.

"You are not having him!" You shot back, you and Newt had found him in your sixth year at Hogwarts. He was your child.

"Well... have fun getting back alive, Mr. Scamander and Mrs. (L/N), what with the whole MACUSA on your back." He replied leaving the table.

Newt gave you a look and you gave him one back, pain in your eyes. You didn't want to give the goblin Pickett. "Is there anything else? Anything at all?" You pleaded.

"Weelllll, maybe one thing." He replied turning back around and looking at you.

"What is it?" Newt asked, gripping your hand.

"I get all of this," He replied, jestering to the table, "and a little flapper dance from little Missy over here." He said pointing at you.

You blushed, "No!" Newt exclaimed.

"I'll do it," You said, ignoring Newt.

"Come on, don't do it." Newt said.

"Newt, It's fine, it's just a dance." You replied, before getting up and telling the band of your plans.

You walked back the table one the song was over and sat in a huff, "Our information?" You demanded.

"Something invisible's been wreaking havoc around 5th avenue. You may want to check out Macy's Department Store. Might have what you're looking for." He said, smirking at you.

"Dougal." You whispered.

"One last thing." Newt said "There's a Mr. Graves who works at MACUSA. I was wondering what you knew of his background."

"You ask a lot of questions Mr. Scamander," Gnarlak remarked, "That can get you killed."

"MACUSA are comin'!!!!" A house elf screamed as he disappeared.

"You tipped them off?!" Tina yelled getting up from her seat. He started laughing as the people around him screamed in terror. People apparated into the room, Jacob and Queenie came to you, Newt, and Tina.

"Sorry Mr. Gnarlak," Jacob apologized before punching the goblin in the face. "He reminds me of my foreman." Jacob explained.

Jacob took another shot before the five of you disaparated. You appeared in front of Macy's. "Since when did you know how to dance?" Newt exclaimed.
