The Early Years of Elementary

     Talia grew up in the small town of Grants, New Mexico. Throughout most of her childhood, she was confident, sweet and happy. She did very well in school and had many friends. Everyone thought that she would have a bright future. She thought so too...

First Grade

     Talia first started school at Milan Elementary. Her first grade teacher was Mrs.Tillman, an angel of a woman whom Tara admired. Throughout all of first grade, Talia excelled in phonics, spelling, reading, and writing. She even had a title that everyone in her class acknowledged. They called her 'The AR Queen', a title that she earned by utilizing her amazing reading comprehension skills.
     This was also the year that her family welcomed her stepfather into their lives. He made her feel safe, like she was invincible. He even started to work at her school so that he could keep a close eye on her and her brother. He also made her mother happy. But he unfortunately didn't bond very well with Talia's brother.

Second Grade

     Second grade was the year that Talia left Milan to go to Mt.Taylor Elementary school. She left due to her father getting transferred to Mt.Taylor. Talia, for the first time in a long time, had no friends at the beginning of the year. She eventually made friends and as you could've already guessed, her academic performance remained proficient. By the end of the year, she had made a friend of almost everyone in her class.

Third Grade

     Talia started third grade with a teacher who was new to teaching. Although Talia had an inexperienced teacher, she still excelled in her studies. Talia only made one new friend, Xavier, who was very loud and confident and who helped build Talia's confidence.
