Everyone knows school is hard. Especially if your family moves a lot. You get used to one school then bam, you lose everything you had and are forced to do it all over again. You know the saying 'Never judge a book by it's cover.', Right? That's not associated with the higher classes. First impressions are everything. Everything. That's why your best shot is dress like your going to a fancy party and use an excessive amount of makeup to cover your ugly face.
So far I have no idea what kind of school I'm going to. I just know it's in South Dakota, that's it. My parents don't know either, so I'm kinda winging it. I usually study the school and find their trends beforehand but this was not the case. Being 15 is hard. Never knowing what people are saying about you is stressful. That's why I try to avoid that.
"Mom. Are we almost to our apartment?" I complained.
"Yes, Noelle. About five minutes away." She answered continuing to stare at the road, driving steadily.
Dad was on his phone playing Candy Crush Saga. It was annoying so fired up good ol' Snapchat.
Group:
Noelle/ Hey girls 😋
Christina/ Oh hay
Laura/ NOELLE!!! I'm sooo sad ur movin 😭😭
Noelle/ i can still talk to u lol don't worry
It's been a couple of minutes and no one replied so I shut down my phone as we pull into a somewhat enclosed driveway. There's trees everywhere.
"Mommmmmm. Is there any internet here?" I whined, dragging my feet through the pebble walkway up to the apartment's door. It looked old, it was a fading blue with cloudy windows and a creaky looking door.
"I'm not sure hun." She replied monotonously, kind of annoyed..
"It's a fixer upper." My dad spoke lifting his head from his screen and scratched his neck.
Mom pushed us inside and that's when my jaw dropped.
(CLIFFHANGER HAHAHA also a pretty short chapter cuz I'm tired.)
