Ladybug swung around the buildings. The wind in her face, blowing around her hair. While this is most enjoyable, Ladybug didn't have the time to dwadle. The thief below was escaping with Chat Noir's Miraculous. They slipped it off while Chat wasn't paying enough attention. Luckily, Ladybug looked away and she hoped the thief did the same. But she doubted it.

The thief wasn't being the smartest, and they had left the back of the black van wide open for her to come in. She only hoped she could get close enough to jump in.

Right now was her perfect chance. The van had slowed down because of a car in front of it. She swung into the van, determined to catch the bad guy.

She snuck to the behind of the passenger's seat, where she saw the Miraculous in a small cage. With swift action, she picked up the cage and ran for the exit.

"HEY, HEY!! STOP IT, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" The thief screamed at Ladybug, but that didn't faze her in the slightest. She kept going to the back of the van. Yet, it seemed to take forever even if it was only a few feet away.

Ladybug leaped out, grinning to herself. The van halted, but it was too late for them. Ladybug had disappeared as soon as she came.

What she didn't notice is that Chat Noir's ring had several cracks in it.

When she got home she detransformed. Marinette looked down at the cage in her hand, which Chat Noir's ring sat. How was she going to open it?

Marinette checked her room for a paper clip, hoping she could find one to try and unlock the cage she sat down on her desk. Tikki eyed it, making sure nothing happened to the ring that contained the power of destruction.

Tikki whispered to it, "Plagg, come out."

Suddenly, a black cat kwami flew out of the Miraculous. His green eyes scanned his surroundings, and the cage he was trapped in.

"Why am I in this cage?" Plagg asked Tikki, "Why am I here?"

Tikki spoke, "Plagg, use your power of destruction to rid of your cage."

Plagg blew on the cage, and it dissolved in front of our eyes. "Piece of cake."

"Plagg, do you know your way home?" Marinette asked, "Can you take yourself back to Chat Noir?"

"I think it would be easier if Tikki came with me," he replied.

Tikki shook her head, "I don't think so. I think that it would be easier if I stay with Marinette in case of an emergency."

"But Tikki-"

"No, Plagg. I'm sorry but I am staying here."

"Awww," He whined. "Okay..."

He picked himself and the Miraculous off the table, and flew towards Marinette's balcony.

"Goodbye Plagg," Marinette called, "Have a safe trip!"

He simply nodded his head before leaving.

"Marinette!" Sabine called, "Please come here!"

"Okay, mom!" Marinette shouted back, whispering for Tikki to hide. Tikki obeyed, and flew into Marinette's jacket. She then walked downstairs to the bakery.

"What is it?" Marinette asked.

Sabine turned towards her daughter and said, "Can you take care of customers for a minute? I have to go get more supplies."

"No problem," Marinette replied, taking Sabine's spot behind the counter.

Marinette's mom left the store, and now Marinette was all alone. She stood there and zoned out, lost in her thoughts.

Has Plagg gotten back to his master? Does his master suspect that Marinette saw his identity? What happened to the thief after she left? Where was the thief going to take Chat Noir's Miraculous? What were they going to do with it?

So many questions buzzed around in her head that she didn't hear the bell ring. She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a familiar voice talking to her.

"I would like one loaf of bread please," The boy said at the door, his wonderful voice bringing so many memories back, "And a big hug from my little sister."

"Marin!!" Marinette screamed as she ran from out of behind the counter. Marin's arms were open wide, awaiting his little sister's embrace. She ran into him, swinging her arms around him. His hug was warm and full of love. It reminded her of the hugs he would always give her when she was sad. Only this time she was bursting with joy.

Marin's hair looked almost just like Marinette's, except they're styled differently. His peirced ears bring back so many memories. Marinette would always give earrings for Marin to model. She still had a few of the earrings that she made for him. His beautiful almond eyes shone in the light. He wore a grey jacket over the shirt Marinette made for him when he left. It still was a little big for him, but it was obvious that he still loved it as much as he loved his sister.

"Wow, you've gotten taller little sis!" Marin laughed, "You used to only be up to my elbow, but now I can actually put my chin on the top of your head!"

Marinette laughed in her brother's arms. "I'm not the only one who has gotten taller! You're like a skyscraper now!"

Marin and Marinette separated. "So, you're what..." Marin pondered for a moment, "Fifteen?"

"Yes!" Marinette replied, clapping her hands. "That makes you seventeen!"

"Actually," Marin corrected, "It makes me sixteen. Tomorrow I am seventeen."

"What?!" Marinette exclaimed, "I got your birthday off by a few days! Don't blame me though. It's been three years since we celebrated your birthday with you home. We were almost always busy on your birthday, so we celebrated on the days before."

"You celebrated my birthday, even while I was in the U.S." Marin smiled, "I truly do have the best family ever!"

"I'll have to tell mom and dad that tomorrow is your birthday!" Marinette squealed. "Maybe I can stay home from school tomorrow and spend the whole day with you!"

"I'd love that!"

Just then, Tom and Sabine walked into the room. "Surprise, Marin!" Marin's mom and dad went to hug him.

After they separated, Sabine said, "Come on, let's head to the park. It used to be your favorite place in Paris, Marin!"

*****

The surprise for Marin was big. It reminded Marinette of her fifteenth birthday party. Everyone that Marin knew was there. Even Grandma was there for the big surprise! All Marin's old friends were there, having fun with him. Marinette didn't know most of them, but it was fine. As long as her brother was happy to be home.

Marin opened presents, ate cake, played games. Just like he used to. His smile was the same one that Marinette loved. His beautiful crooked smile reminded her of all the fun they had together.

They all partied until late in the night. Until all Marin's friends went home. They all helped to pick up the place, making sure there was nothing left of the celebration they had.

When they got home, Marinette could tell her brother was really tuckered out. His suitcase was already waiting in Marinette's room for him. When they were both up in her room, they talked.

"I remember when we used to share this room," Marin said. "I remember how sometimes we would just sleep on the floor with our pillows and blankets and pretend we were having a sleepover."

Marinette laughed, "I remember the one sleepover where we told each other the funniest stories we knew. We ended up waking up mom and dad with our laughter!"

They both giggled at the memory. They talked with each other until the clock read ten.

"Goodnight little sis," Marin called from the futon.

Marinette called back, "Goodnight, big brother." She fell asleep with his beautiful voice in her mind.
