"We can't let him go, he'll go running straight to the authorities."
"Then what do we do with him? He's a stubborn one, you know."
"He's not going to willingly join us anytime soon," Dabi added.
"So we break him?"
"Ooh! Can I get my knives?" Toga interrupted, her face spreading with pleasure.
"We get him as low as he can operate, then we let him go. Make him forget everything, blur his memory."
"If you're suggesting torture, I'd advise you do the dirty work," Mr. Compress dusted off his gloves and brushed the brim of his hat. "I'd like to avoid getting my hands dirty."
"Can I cut him?" Toga begged like a needy child, still wanting to lay her hands on the student.
Twice tapped his cheek, "What if we got 'Crazy' to fill in his place at the school?"
Dabi crossed his arms, "That wouldn't work, people would be able to tell something's off if it's long-term," he stated, rolling his eyes.
Toga scoffed, obviously offended, "Are you doubting my acting skills?"
"Yes."
"We're going to have to make him forget, make sure that when we do dump him, he doesn't go and tell anybody." Shigaraki nodded, a confirmation of the arrangement. "Keep a low profile, no new recruitments, for now, it's too risky. It'll be a while until people have forgotten about their little sports festival champion."
The group headed into the neighbouring room, where Kurogiri headed behind the counter to pour his leader a drink. Bakugou was still silent, glaring at the villains he had been reared to despise. His red eyes seemed to radiate under the fluorescent lighting. Katsuki's cross demeanour did not falter as the league defined their intentions. "Are they supposed to be perfect?" Shigaraki began, "Modern day heroes are so uptight, don't you think, Bakugou?" He swayed. "The society that sticks tight to those rules... the citizens who blame the losers rather than encourage them... Our fight is to question: What is a hero? What is justice?"
"I'm done listening to your endless talking." Bakugou hissed, still restrained by the chains. His head was bowed, not meeting the eyes of his captors. "can you not get to the point, or do you just like the sound of your own voice? Basically what you want is to cause some trouble and you want me to join you," He raised his head, facing the gaze of Shigaraki. "Well screw you."
"I like to win, I wanna win just like All Might, no matter what you have to offer me. That'll never change," A smile met the boy's lips, "Do you understand?" Dabi cursed under his breath at the boy's remark.
Shigaraki stated his name once out loud, indicating to let him make the first move. Giving a glance to the others, who seemed to shrink in dismay, he snorted at their cowardice. But he too was hesitant. Approaching the teen, who presented him with a detestable look, he held out his hand. The scars upon the back of his palm disgusted Bakugou as he watched Dabi place a hand on his forearm. The searing pain ripped up his body as the flame seared his skin. Katsuki let out a bloody scream as tears abruptly flooded his eyes. The stench of sizzling flesh engulfed the bar, overwhelming the onlookers, all except for Toga, who craved to get in on the action.
Dabi released the boy from his grasp, smoke still coming off Bakugou's forearm. He gulped down in hopes not to let the pain show anymore. His face was still wet with tears as Shigaraki leaned over him, "You sure you don't want to join us?" He questioned sleekly.
Grinding his teeth, Bakugou replied, "Positive," He was not planning on losing.
Bakugou never loses.
