Luke was woundering around the street. He had heard that his dad had reached back to London but he lost his way coming to Glasgow. So he set foot looking for him.
'Oh dear, I've lost me own way again.'
Luke rolled his eyes. He rubbed his eyes and looked down on the bright screen on his phone. He rubbed his eyes again, looked around.
Luke smelled smoke, coming from a flat. He reached his pocket and tucked his phone in his jeans.
'Help! Oh help! Me house is on fire!' A women shouted. She waving a flag if some sort. Luke looked up and saw the the blazing fire. Bright red, and amber yellow. The flames danced in the cold air. He walked up to the house, people were gathering up and they had no idea of what to do. Luke was thinking to himself, "what could I do?" He asked himself.
He was brave enough to walk in the house that was on fire and looked for the women. He covered his mouth with his hoodie and walked straight in. Smoke swirled and turned, smelt of burned wood.
'Hello? Anyone ere?' Luke asked. He pushed the door open. His eyes blazed. They lit up by the fearsome fire. 'In ere! Near the kitchen window!' She screamed. He quickly walked up and waved his hand. She smiled while coughing. 'Thank you love, I am very grateful.' She thanked Luke. He smiled and carried her down the stairs. Everyone was cheering and clapping.
The women hugged Luke and she sensed he was alone, but she gave him something. Something to remember her by.
'You don't have to.' Luke nervously said. She walked up closer. 'Seriously, I insitst.' She smiled softly. Luke hands were shaking, non-stop. She smiled again and walked away. The people around gasped and left with a smirk. Luke knew he wasn't doing the right thing, everyone would do it to him. Giving him dirty looks or giving smirks. To make him feel bad about himself.
Luke frowned and felt ashamed of himself. He didn't want to take the women's necklace. A pendant reading Treasure. He knew it was given by someone to her. What Luke noticed she acted like someone he knew. He thought to himself again, "Mum?". He walked up ahead.
He glanced at the shop's windows. Some filled with China plates and cups, others filled with old tin toys.
He looked confused when he came across a sweet shop with only gum and mints. 'Stupid.' He whispered to himself. He shook his head.
'Luke Landson?' A man said. He raised his eyebrow. 'Uh, how did you know my name?' He asked. He backed away from the man. Tall and grown. His hair was coal-black. Wearing a black jacket and white trainers.
I'm you farther silly.' He smiled. Like was in shock. 'No you ain't.' Like grabbed his phone out. The man laughed, 'I am.' Luke wanted to walk away. Think about something else and find his real dad. He knew this man wasn't.
'How can I trust ya?' Luke asked. He had his phone out, in his hand. 'I don't know.' The man replied. Luke looked back on phone and texted it to his his dad. 'You wee bastard! You lier!' Luke fiercely said. The man backed away and frowned. Looking down, on the ground.
'Sorry Luke, I have to tell you...' he trailed off. Luke felt like he was sinking into a puddle. He didn't know what to expect. He felt worried, he wanted to wake up and think it was all a dream. A dark nightmare, well some sort of frightening dream.
'What?...' Luke looked down on the floor. The man stepped forward, he lifted Luke's head and put his palm in his hand. 'Your father Landon.' He started to speake. Luke face dropped. It went all blank. Was he hearing this by some stranger? He was confused yet intrigued.
'He is in Rutherglen. He collapsed while making his way to ya.' He patted Luke's shoulder. 'I want to see him.' Luke breathed out. He was trying to calm himself down, not by punching him by the face. Luke did want to run away but he stayed listening to a scyopath.
The man shook his head. Like was comfused. Why wouldn't he be able too see his own dad? Luke walked away. The man didn't stop him. He walked away aswell.
'An idiot and pathetic.' He talked to himself again. Took the 23 to Rutherglen hospital. It looked like a business building to him.
'How odd.' Luke said while shrugging his shoulders. He walked in and saw doctors and nurses whizzing by. He rubbed his eyes and walked over to the reception desk. 'How could I help you sir?' The nurse asked while shuffling papers. Luke swalled his throat and intched his neck.
'Like to see my dad, Landon Landson.'
Luke said. The women thought and looked in the papers, finding a Landon Landson.
I'm sorry, but he got discharged.' The women shook her head. Luke put his head down. 'Thanks anyway.' Luke replied with a frown. He looked like nothing would happen. His dad has probably gone to Glasgow and he was stuck at Rutherglen Hospital.
'Idiot me.' Luke whispered to himelf. He walked out, and heard the leaves swaying side by side. He walked away and sat outside a park bench reading "Reach for the stars." He frowned, he didn't look like he wasn't going to achieve anything. Upsetting as he was, he just wanted to go somewhere, to go out with his dad. Sadly, he couldn't. It was impossible or was it?
