       "Please Don't do this! " cried the woman; a small, pink, hand sewn teddy bear in hand.

"No, this must be done if I don't do it someone else will", Yelled the man.

"Please, shes just a baby!... She's our baby".
The woman said, tears in her eyes; throat burning from running and screaming in the cold night air.

"This thing... This thing will never be called my child". He said as he takes and throws the pink teddy bear, that was in her hand, to the dirt ground.

"That thing!? is my baby and she has a name! ; tell me? Please, just tell me what you are going to do with her".
The women said, gently grabbing the mans arm; pleading him to give her the small, helpless baby.

He says, "I'm putting this creature in the river, some one else will find it; do what they want with it, then its out of our hair".

"Will she live". The woman said with a determined look begging for an answer.

"My love, why do you care so much for this... Witch Baby?, after what it has done". The man said as kindly as he could. "If you care that much for it,  then you may put a note in the basket, telling whoever finds it about her". He stated as he hands her a piece of paper; knowing she'll take up his offer.

The woman forcefully snatched the paper and started to write, tears streaming down her face.

"I'm sure she was weak that's why the hand writing was messy. I'm happy he let her put the note in my basket. I still have it with me; I keep it, and some other things I need, in my satchel I found years ago." Said the girl.

      "Melody is it?, if what you say is true then why is it your father, or I'm guessing he's your father; why did he call you a "creature" and a "witch" as you said in your story" asked the police officer.
      Melody was taken to them after she ran so far, no one knew who she was, or where she came from, or how she got to they're small town of Villa hidge

"I'm not sure officer, I guess he didn't like me very much". She said sadly, putting her head down on the brown stained table used for interrogations and confessions.

      Most people try to get away from Melody after taking care of her for so long. Mostly three or four weeks until they find out that she's not exactly normal. After that they want her out of there home.
They often call the cops; saying strange things like, "there's a girl, she, she was in my head!, its evil and it ran away before I could call. Please don't let her trick you";
           "she's dangerous"

They always sound so frantic and and afraid, but less for themself,  and more for whoever found the girl.

      "My names Justin; Cant believe all this ruckus for one little girl, tell me Melody, how old are you." Said the officer with a kind smile, that made Melody feel warm and happy.

"I think I'm 13, Sir" she said with an awkward smile. She looked scared, even with the officer, even  more so in the interrogation room. She was still pale, like just seeing a ghost.

"Well do you have anywhere to go or do you need somewhere; how can I help you". He was trying to sound nice but it came out creepy. He really did just want to help her. She seemed troubled.

"I don't have anywhere". She said lowering her head.

"Is there anyone I could call"
She shook her head slowly.

"I guess I could ask the department if you could stay with me";
"Only if you want to of course".  Justin was trying really hard not to come off as a creep, but he felt bad for her; she had no one and no where to go.

"Yes, I wish to stay with you"; she said, mabye to quickly; "I rather not stay in here, or on the street again". It was true that She started to trust this officer; though she was still scared, not of him but for him.
