OKAY, SO, CERYS CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH — she didn't mean to be spending all this time with James. It literally only started as a way to help keep Remus safe. Not to sound like an awful human being, but her reasons for keeping him safe might sound kinda selfish. As a twin, you tend to feel what the other was feeling. Like, yeah she gets that Remus being a werewolf is obviously way worse for him, she really does get that. But it affects her too. The pain gets her too.
Cerys' ambition of being a healer can be explained through a weird power she got as a child. Their father had made a lot of enemies through his work. He had offended a werewolf that then bit Remus. He had offended people that had 'special' magic that then hexed Cerys.
Cerys' magic has always been very emotional. If she was angry she could blow the whole fuse box. If she was happy, the lights would glow much warmer. Her emotions were her magic. Other people's emotions were hers too. She could feel whatever anyone else was feeling.
So, yeah, not to sound like a dick, but everything going on with Remus was taking its toll on her too. She could only keep acting like it wasn't for so long before she was going to snap. She was trying. Really trying.
Except, one day, someone seems to notice. To care about all the strain that she's under. That was the day that the whole of Hogwarts seemed to be glowing as the candles were brighter than ever.

so we've finally got the introduction for the revamped version of heartstrings. this was my original plan for the story back when I first wrote the story, but I decided to change it because I thought that some people might think it was too much or not want to read it because of that. but I figured if I'm writing this story then the best thing I can do for the readers is make it a storyline that I would actually be interested in. so here's the new version and I really hope that you guys are gonna love it as much as I do.
