Inko was a little worried. Well that's an extreme understatement, the short woman with the Dark green hair who radiated innocence was in hysterics. Her one and only son Izuku Midoriya would finally be moving out to go to college. She knew this day would come but not so soon, surely it was a mistake. 17 years was surely longer than this she thought. Her baby was leaving the nest to go out into the world where others would surely try to take advantage of him. She fought herself not to stop Izuku from leaving, the internal struggle weighing down on her increasingly as the seconds till Izuku had to go were rapidly approaching zero. Inko zones back in to notice Izuku was looking at her with slight concern but before she could reassure him he was already speaking.

"It's ok mom... I know you're worried about me but I'll be fine. I'll have Uraraka with me as well and we'll still talk daily right? And I will visit every other weekend and when I can so you'll still see me an-..." Izuku's first mumbling rant of the day was brought to a stop when Izuku found his mom hugging him tightly. I'm really going to miss his rambling as well Inko thought as she hugged Izuku. "Izuku, I'll always be worried, I'm your mother. I'm going to miss you so so much. Just promise me you'll be safe." Izuku was caught off guard by the seriousness of his mother's tone at that last sentence. "U-uh of course mom, I promise." Izuku tried to shoot a reassuring look at his mom but he didn't know if it was working or not as his mom took a step back. "Izuku I mean it! No fighting! No drugs! Oh god no, please don't do drugs, no matter what anyone tells you there's no reason to do drugs okay?" Inko could feel that the side that was battling for Izuku to stay at home was starting to win, as much as it hurt she needed Izuku to leave soon before it all became too much.

"Don't worry mum I promise I won't. I'll be safe." Izuku gave his mom another hug to make sure she was completely convinced. Hell, all it felt like Midoriya had been doing lately was convincing his mom. He almost didn't get to go to the college of his dreams as his mom was scared of what could happen to him when he moves out. When he first brought up the subject the idea of going to his dream college would never come to pass as his mom suggested local colleges that Izuku had no interest in at all. After all he was going to Ketsu Academy, one of the most prestigious colleges in the whole of Japan and he couldn't wait to start.

"Well... I guess it's probably best you go over to the Uraraka's house then. Izuku-" Inko could feel tears starting to stream down her cheeks, she gave her precious son one last hug, "I love you." Izuku returned the warm embrace, "I love you too mom. I promise to message you when I'm there, bye.". And with that Izuku pulled his large forest green suitcase out with him. Out of the cosy apartment where he spent all his childhood. Where he would used to come as a kid after playing with the other kids or when Kacchan would bully him and he'd come running home with tear filled eyes. His mom would always cheer him up by making his favourite food Katsudon. Those memories brought a smile to Izuku's face. He continued to walk and just before he turned out of sight he looked back to smile and wave goodbye to his mom who stood by the door and was unable to compose herself as tears were streaming down her cheeks, she waved her last goodbye as Izuku turned out of her sights, Inko's heart never felt heavier.

After the emotional parting Izuku made his eight minute walk to the Uraraka's home. The mix of emotions were swirling around him, Izuku was excited for this new chapter in his life but he disliked that feeling when you say goodbye, it made him feel empty, a void that drained him for all his worth. As these feelings were pondering his thoughts he hadn't realised he made it to the Uraraka's front yard till he heard his name.

"HELLO DEKU! Did you zone out again? I don't know what I'm going to do with you. We're going to college, the next phase in our life and your zoning out will be the death of you." Uraraka gave a half-hearted sigh at the end. Although the name Deku was given to Izuku by his childhood bully to make Izuku feel useless, Uraraka seemed to say it in a way that Izuku became quite fond of the nickname. "H-hey Uraraka. Sorry about that I was just thinking about saying goodbye to my mom. It wasn't easy. I'm gonna miss her. But I can't wait to go Ketsu Academy, I've seen some of the professors lectures online and they're amazing, just thinking about all the- " "Hot boys? Well Deku college is the place where you'll be stripped of your innocence, it's going to be exciting." Uraraka interjected to stop Midoriya going fall rant mode, it was too early. She flashed Izuku a mischievous smile as his cheeks lit on fire. Uraraka knew Deku was hopeless when it came to talking about relationships, he was just too innocent, but she was hoping to change that very quickly and college was the perfect opportunity. Izuku looked like he wanted to retort but decided against it as he thought Uraraka might delve deeper into aspects of a relationship that would make his cheeks erupt. "Well then Deku, I'm just gonna go inside and get my suitcase then I'm ready to go. I already said the big emotionally goodbye to my parents so I'll only be a minute. The cars unlocked so you can put your stuff in and get seated. Be right back." And with that Uraraka headed inside as Izuku's cheeks eventually turned back to the slightly tanned colour they were originally.
