Swaying to the music that played in the house, Isaiah gave nods of acknowledgment to some of the people he knew. The Party he was attending was a celebration for the new school year thrown by some frat that he couldn't remember the name of but happened to know a guy who was pledging who invited him to come out. Accepting the invitation, Isaiah by default felt as if he had to bring his best friend Jeremiah along because if he was going to a party, why wouldn't he want his closet friend to not have fun too.
Speaking of Jeremiah, the crazy fool came sauntering Isaiah's way with the most devilish smile that he knew meant, he was on his way to stirring up some trouble.
"There you are, Zay! Man, I been looking for you everywhere." Jeremiah spoke, the biggest grin on his face.
"You clearly haven't been looking hard enough, I been in this same spot for most of the party," Isaiah replied, scoffing playfully at his words. "What do you want anyway, you got that stupid look on your face when you get up to something and want to drag me along in your plans."
"Well turn your head and look across the room to that girl over there," Jeremiah said pointing across the room, Isaiah glanced at the beautiful girl for a second then turned back to his friend.
"She's pretty, What about her?" Jeremiah sighed before turning Isaiah's head once more in her direction.
"Look at her closely man, like really look into her face." Her soft features and a slight childish face reminded him of someone but he couldn't remember who. She was gorgeous, her curls flawlessly cascaded on her shoulders, her pouty full lips on display, and dark brown eyes held a mischievous twinkle, she openly laughed at something her friend had said her mouth opening wide to let out an infectious laugh.
She looked absolutely gorgeous but the familiarity of her face, rubbed Isaiah the wrong way.
"I remember her- I just can't think of her name," Isaiah said honestly sipping out of his red cup, looking back at Jeremiah for some more answers. "It starts with a C or a K, one of those I bet."
"Does Kelsey Bronson ring any bells?" The widening of Isaiah's eyes made Jeremiah chuckle slightly, as the other young man's head practically ripped back towards the young woman to give her a once over again, and the name matched up with the face.
That was Kelsey? Their mutual friend Jackson's annoying little sister who rarely ever left them alone whenever they would play. The one who constantly begged for them to include her, and always threatened to tell if they didn't. They were 3 years her senior and they rarely ever saw the girl during their high school years, except for a couple of occasions, maybe a miscellaneous football game or school function. They never got to get the best look at her new features though, it was always a passing glance. Once they had gone off to college the interactions became non-existent, ending in no goodbyes.
"You are fucking kidding, that can't be her. She was just a baby with squishy ass cheeks, we have not been gone that long!" Isaiah said nudging Jeremiah who chuckled at his words.
"Well, that's her for sure, she greeted me at the door. She's a freshman this year and I was thinking we could give her a good, nice to see you again gift." Jeremiah said giving Isaiah a knowing look, with a smirk as he sipped some more of his own drink.
"I don't know man, I'm not sure if I'd be able to look Derrion in the eye if we do that," Isaiah said with a shrug before glancing at Kelsey again who this time caught his eye. She gave him a million dollar smile and a small wave with her free hand, Isaiah returned a small smile, her beauty captivating.
"The way you're looking at her is saying really different, Zay." Jeremiah acquired with a sly smile.
"Nigga shut up, let's just talk to her first and if she's down when we get to that point in the conversation then we'll roll with it."
