When he arrived, the elevators were packed, leaving him to run all the way up the stairs.
Yes he felt dead.
But at least his thighs were looking mighty fine.
"I didn't ask for an explaination," the older boy blankly said.
"S-Sorry... Sir Mark."
Mark didn't even bat an eyelash at Donghyuck's new name for him and walked on. Donghyuck followed, wondering how in the world Mark knew the exact time he was late by.
As per usual, Mark said nothing as they made their way to his office. When they had made it there, the older sat down.
Donghyuck was about to sit too, but--
"I didn't say you could sit," Mark said monotonously.
Donghyuck sucked in air through his teeth in annoyance. Oh, so that's how it's gonna be?
"What can I do for you, Sir?" Donghyuck looked to him with smiles and sunshine.
Mark flipped open a file, almost looking bored.
"Organize the files in the left cabinet."
Donghyuck walked over, a fake smile still adhered to his face.
Okay, scrap what I said about him yesterday.
This guy is utter BULL.
Jisoos, and they all wonder why he's a rich bachelor, well, lemme tell ya, AIN'T NO BODY GONNA BE LOVING SOME GUY LIKE THAT!
"I said the cabinet on the left," Mark flipped a page.
"Wha--"
Oh.
Wrong cabinet.
Oops.
Donghyuck walked over to the other cabinet, scowling at his embarassment. He opened the top drawer to find a ton of documents. They were all orderly already.
Wait a second.
He never said HOW to organize them.
How does he expect me to organize them correctly?!
Donghyuck figured that maybe he would at least get the files out so he could look at them. The documents were nothing special. Interest reports, budgets, projects, and even some papers verifying new prototypes. Nothing far from the ordinary.
In other words, nothing under suspicion in relation to the mafia.
"I asked you to organize, not to read," Mark said flatly, not even glancing up from the file he was reading.
Donghyuck hid his eye roll and then began to walk over to a spare table. Now, how would he sort these?
How..?
Okay, maybe I should just ask.
I don't want his annoying jerk-face on my tail again.
"M-Mark, Sir," Donghyuck's came out more timid than he expected. "How should I sort these."
"However you want," Mark didn't even care.
"O-Okay."
HEOL!
Why did I even get these out then?
I could've left them in the cabinet and called it a night!
UGH!
Donghyuck let out a silent groan.
Why was this happening to him? Why did was something trying to kill his dad..? Whoever they were, they were in for it. The first reason being targeting his dad. The second being forcing him to go through this hell.
