"Well sorry that I'm not experienced at this like you people!" Donghyuck rolled his eyes.
"No matter. It would help to have someone else researching," Sol sighed. "Cover up your camera with tape and switch your search engine every ten minutes, okay?"
"Yeah, I will," Donghyuck got out a small notebook. "Hey Sol, I found some sites. Wanna hear?"
"Fire away."
"First is Hamppyang-do," Donghyuck wrote them down. "Next, Seon-il City. Third, Namkamgyu-won and East Chamssang-dong."
"Got it. I'll look into them. For now, I'll update you if there's anything else. "
"Sounds good," Donghyuck closed the browser and cleared his history.
"Good luck at work tonight."
"What?....oh. OH!"
"Talk to ya later, Agent 303!"
FUCK.
I lost track of time.
There's only an hour until work and I have a long ass ride there too.
Aggggghhhhh
Donghyuck sighed.
He went to change. The cafe-haired boy decided to dress appropriately for the work place this time. The move required some people going back to his ransacked house and collecting his clothes and belongings.
Other than a bunch of bullet holes and broken doors, their house was actually okay.
"I hope Wheein-noona, Hwasa-noona, and everyone else is okay," Donghyuck slipped a casual suit on. "Dawon-hyung told me he left them on paid vacation until we return, but I don't know when that will even be."
Donghyuck reached into a box he hadn't opened yet from the move and pulled out a very old picture frame.
"Hey mom," he set it beside his bed. "How are you?"
She was pretty. Wavy black hair and full cheeks reflected onto him. Donghyuck's mom was a gifted scientist with great work in research. In the picture, she was in a lab coat, hugging Donghyuck and Dawon. The photo was from their visit to a famous museum in Europe.
They were younger then.
Happier too.
But then...
"Mom, what happened all those years ago..?" Donghyuck asked her smiling face. "Why were you at that place? The crazy jerk is in jail now. But why were you in that place alone?"
It was five years ago, a month before Donghyuck's birthday. His mother hadn't come home from work. Later, her body was found at the scene of a mass shooting at a mall far west from home. The shooter was arrested and It was passed as a random massacre.
But Dawon and Donghyuck both knew their mom wouldn't have gone that way. They were still young and in need of their mom. She had even called to say she would make dinner that night.
But how is it that she went to a store far west on the way back?
Dawon and Donghyuck knew it didn't make sense, but at the time, they were too grief-ridden to think about it. Donghyuck knew there was more. But just what...?
"Oh crap! I'm gonna be late!" Donghyuck realized, grabbing his laptop and files before hurrying to work.
Yikes.
---
"One minute, thirty-seven point tweny-four seconds," Mark said. "You're late."
"S-Sorry... I got caught up in some things because I j-just moved into my new apartment.." Donghyuck huffed.
