A Feiry Love (Natsu x Reader Fanfic)

Part 2 - the female Knight

You had just gotten into the Fairy tail guild, so far everything had been going just fine. You met a beautiful girl called Lucy who had also recently joined the guild. She told me about herself and her magic and I did the same. She truly was an interesting girl

Suddenly a guy in a green jacket run through the door. His face pale with fear and sweat running down his face is droplets.

"ERZAS BACK!" He screamed unceremoniously.

The entire gui went quiet. Even the two annoying guys beat us stopped fighting. I felt a chill down my spine as a tall woman holding a massive.... shiny cone...? On her shoulder walked into the room. Everyone looked terrified. One by one she started nit picking at people, clearly she was not someone to be messed with. She pointed out the boys who has been fighting, who I now knew were named Natsu and Gray. I had to admit that Natsu guy looked hot... no pun intended. But his open Aladdin-like shirt which showed off every inch of his toned torso had my eyes glued. His smile was adorable... even his voice... wait no.. I can't be attracted to him right? I've spent l this time on my own and been fine... I brushed it off as just a fluke.

Ezra ordered the boys to meet her at the train station the next day. I was intrigued. What could possibly be so important that they couldn't consult with the master first...? Whatever, not my business. Or at least not until I was approached by Mirajane.

"Hey, (y/n)... you and Lucy should go too... Natsu and gray will be at each other's throats when erzas not looking.." Lucy heard this too and looked at me concerned. I simply sighed and agreed, not wanting to look bad on my first day here.

I was around 8pm and Nala and I really needed to find this house we were renting. We drank up our drinks, said our farewells and set off into the dark streets of the large town.

"(y/n) we won't find it for ages on foot, come on let's fly!" Nala was obviously bored, so he grabbed my waist and flee me up. It was true that we could cover much more ground like this but I was afraid of missing it.

He flew lower and slowed down when we reached a forest near the outer parts of the town and after a few minutes searching we found the cabin.

Nala dropped me gently on the ground then perched himself on my shoulder. I knocked 3 times on the door and prayed that someone would answer. But I wasn't ready for who did. Right there staring back at me was the pink haired guy from the guild. For a moment I was speechless. As he was only wearing those white pants and scarf I saw him in earlier. I felt the blood rush to my face.

"H-hi! Natsu right?" God I felt so stupid

"Yeah that's me" he said, relaxing slightly.

"I'm (y/n)... the new person in the guild. Umm I saw that ad that you were renting a bed and I was wondering if I could take that spot" I smiled. Not because I was trying to be friendly but because of the way he completely relaxed himself when I said I was in his guild.

"Of course come right in" he said politely. His behaviour didn't match how he looked at the moment. Maybe he was trying to impress me..? Hah, fat chance.

He showed me to my bed, which was a heavily pillowed hammock with a single bed sized duvet under the stairs. There was a space for my stuff, which was only my backpack. In it I carried a jacket. A small first aid kit. Candy and a ring given to me by Zacc, who made it from the crystal inside the cave we lived in. I only wore it during intense fights for luck.

I climbed into my hammock and laid there, taking in my surroundings. To my left was a desk full of random nicknacks. Above me was where Natsu sleep and around the corner was the main sitting area. It was small but cozy. The gentle swaying of the hammock rocked me to sleep. Tomorrow was a busy day.

~ Morning ~

I woke with a start to the sound of a heavily Thud on the floor. I looked up to see Natsu picking himself up off the floor. I assume md he either fell or jumped from his bed. Either way we woke me, Nala and a small blue cat I'd never seen before. I felt an emptiness in my stomach and reached for my bag to pull out some candy.

"You do know I'll be making breakfast" said that adorable voice. He obviously saw me getting the candy out "that's not the best thing to start your day with, look how about I make something big today?"

I smiled. I must've looked like a moron but I couldn't help myself. He was so kind... generous.. thoughtful.. I forced these thoughts out of head.

"Where can I grab a shower?" I asked trying not to stutter.

"Outside and around the back" he replied and he was using his magic to light his gas cooker.

"Thanks"

After I showered I threw in the clothes I had on yesterday and rushed my teeth in the sink. I could have sworn Natsu watched me as I moved around the house, well... his house. I didn't know if he was unhappy with how I was. Was he monitoring my behaviour..??? Why was I getting so worked up about his boy???

We ate breakfast while we told eachother about ourselves and found we are more alike than we thought. We both used fire magic, both were raised outside of our families and we both had a cute pet cat. He pointed out how bright my flame was when I showed it off to him. I explained that when it comes to Phoenix magic no tw flames burn the same. Some flames are dull, others are bright. Some were even odd colours like blue and pink.

We kept talking and ourselves and bonding while we walked to the train station. Nala and Happy happily shared a fish and chocolate milk together on Natsu's large backpack. But by the time we got to the station Natsu changed. One look at Gray and he was scowling. I went with the cats to sit with Lucy who obviously was pretending not to know them two as they shot lame insults at eachother. I saw Ezra walk to us carrying a massive load of luggage. Me and Lucy looked at Eachother and almost died laughing!

Ezra introduced herself, shared some over exaggerated rumours about Lucy then told us to board the train. I gulped as I stepped onto the vehicle. I generally avoided this kind of thing as I get really bad motion sickness. It sucks!

I planned to keep quiet during the entire trip and just hope that I didn't puke all over my new teammates. This plan failed miserably within a few minutes however. I was doubled over on the seat clutching my stomach. Ok so a larger breakfast wasn't the smartest idea... I noticed Natsu was experiencing the same problem. Was it coincidence? Or fate? Not I believed in that.

Gray made some rude remark about how pathetic Natsu was then I excused myself to use the bathroom. My reflection was pale and shakey and all I could I was sit over the bowel for a few minutes so that I could get whatever I could out, which worked out fine... ish. I made my way back to the seat to find Natsu passed out on erzas knee. I took a seat beside them and tried going to sleep. Of course this didn't work either.. as I was about to leave for another bathroom break I felt a sharp blow to my stomach and then everything went black. I remember waking up on grays back when we reached our destination. I shoved myself off of him and brushed myself down.

"Much better" I said to myself "Wait where's Natsu??" I said this out loud causing everyone else to search the area around them

Ezra has a sudden outburst "how could I be so stupid! I know Natsu hates all forms of transportation! Someone hit me for my stupidity!" She said dramatically I sweat dropped and looked for a solution.

"Erza! The emergency break could give up some time to catch up with train... I'll go on foot, I'm pretty fast" I said confidently as I jogged on the spot. Erza nodded, seemingly impressed as I took off with suprising speed. I of course was using magic. This spell, knows as 'wings of the Phoenix' allows the user to light their feet on fire and run at astronomical speeds

"Hang in there Natsu... I'm coming"
