Chapter 7 part 2
Emily’s POV:
After my amazing day with Jason, I was full of excitement that I decided I should call my best friends and tell them about the “date”. The moment I told them I had gone out with Jason they were screaming so loud I had to cover my ears.
“Tell us everything” said Alice in between screams
“Okay” I said and told them everything that happened, from having breakfast with him to the walk on the beach, even him talking about my mom and when he dropped me off at home.
“He really likes you” said Steph in between giggles
“He’ll ask you out soon” said Alice
All these things they were telling me didn’t seem to fit in my head, I’ve never had a guy interested in me, and now I have a very good looking guy interested in me. It all just seems too unreal
“I don’t know guys; I don’t have anything to offer him. I don’t even know if I’m ready for a relationship” I said feeling very insecure.
“Em you’re beautiful, kind, and funny. Face it! You’re the complete package” said Steph making me laugh
“Thanks Steph” I said
“It’s true Em! All the girls in school are jealous of your beauty.” Emphasized Alice
“Seriously thanks guys, I can always count on you” I replied smiling at my best friends.
“You’ll always have us” said Alice
“When’s your second date?” Asked Steph giggling like crazy
“Well I don’t think this was a proper date, maybe it’s the start to being friends” I said honestly not knowing what had happened just hours ago.
“I’m sure if you become friends, he’ll end up asking you out” said Steph
“It’s obvious he likes you by just the looks he gives you” said Alice and I started blushing
“AWWWWW! Our baby girl is growing up” they said at the same time and I laughed
“Shut up” they continued laughing until I heard my dad call me
“Emily could you come help me with dinner” he yelled from downstairs
“I gotta go guys, dad needs help with dinner” I said waving goodbye, they waved and said “Bye” at the same time. I was walking out of my room when I heard my brother laugh, he is alone in the room so he might be on the phone… I freaked out when I heard
“C’mon Jason, I haven’t had fun in a while” OMG, I started to freak out……… He’s on the phone with Jason, many thoughts started going through my head, what if Jason told him we went out today? What if my brother hates me? What if he is ashamed of me? I tried my best to push these thoughts to the back of my head so I could help my dad with dinner.
Jason’s POV:
The moment I got home from my “date” with Emily, I was greeted by my mother who had a smirk plastered on her face.
“Why are you so happy Jason?” she asked trying to contain her laugh
“Life is just beautiful” I said thinking about how beautiful Emily is.
“Life? Sure about that?” she asked knowing it wasn’t life
“Yup” I replied, emphasizing the “p”
She laughed and I kissed her on the cheek and made my way to the kitchen to get some snacks and made my way to my room, I threw myself on my bed and sighed very loudly, if things with Emily kept going this good, I might be lucky to ask her out. My thoughts were interrupted by my phone ringing, I didn’t even look at the caller ID so I just answered.
“Hello” I said with a smile on my face
“Are you that happy to talk to me man?” asked Adam on the other line laughing
“Sorry dude, don’t be too flattered” I replied laughing
“Jeez! I liked the smiley Jason better” he said and I laughed
“What got you so happy anyway?” Adam asked and I kind of panicked, he knows I like his sister and that I kissed her but he doesn’t know about our date.
“Nothing, had a good day of sleep, that’s all” I replied trying to sound convincing
“Alright, what you up to tonight?” he asked
“Probably more sleep, why?” I was not in the mood for another party
“The guys wanna go to a club and I thought you’d might want to come along” he replied
“I’m not really in the mood” I replied
“C’mon Jason, I haven’t had fun in a while” he said
“You don’t need me to have fun, just go with the guys I’ll join next time” I promised
“Fine, but next time you’re going” he assured me
“Alright” I simply said
“I gotta go, dad is calling for dinner. Want me to send Emily a kissy-wissy? “ he joked
“Very funny, just go eat fat ass” I said
“My pleasure” he said and hung up, Adam is gonna end up getting me in trouble. I shook my head and walked to the bathroom to change into my swimming trunks. After changing I walked downstairs into the backyard and threw myself in the pool.
