"Okay, I need a volunteer" he continued hesitantly, pushing through the dead crowd. "I already volunteered! How do you think I got here?" One shouted at him. "Bring back the girls!" Another shouted, obviously saying what everyone wanted to hear, earning a loud cheer from the rest of the crowd. "I think they only know the one song, but I'll see what I can do" Steve stuttered through, turning back to look at the curtains.

"You do that, sweetheart" one person in the crowd shouted, I rolled my eyes, deciding that I had endured enough of this pain for anyone's liking. I walked around the group of men, just in time to see one pull his pants down in the direction of Steve. Hot.

I walked a bit quicker, manoeuvring my way backstage, all of the USO girls clambering back on stage to keep the men happy. Steve walked through the curtain, pulling the helmet off his head and dropping both that and his shield to the side. "Hey Captain America!" I shouted at him playfully, earning his full attention.

He looked over at me and smiled weakly. "Hey" he said happily, a glimmer in his blue eyes. "You just watch that then?" He said sheepishly as I got nearer to him. "Sure did" I replied slightly amused. I held my arms out for a hug, Steve awkwardly wrapping his arms round my shoulders, clearly unsure of what to do in this situation.

I patted him on the back a few times, hoping he was sensing how awkward this hug was. "Okay that's enough of that then" I said pulling away from him. He lightly chuckled, wiping his face with his hand. "How long are you here for?" He asked me as I shrugged my shoulders at him, letting out a deep breath. "No idea, it's just me, Peggy is stil at HQ, London was getting a bit boring. I've not got long either, I've got to get back to work soon" I said looking down at my wristwatch.

"Yeah wouldn't want to keep you from your work" he said to me, a small smile now on his face. "I don't leave tonight, so I should see you late I guess" I said shrugging my shoulders and turning away from him, waving and shooting a smile at him before I left the clearing holding the stage completely.

I sped walked back to the tent that Colonel Philips was sitting under, signing condolence letter after condolence letter. I took a seat behind the table, grabbing my stamp and stamping the next piece of paper as it flowed down the assembly line to me. I then passed it on to Philips, who had previously been doing my job as well, then he signed it with an inky pen for it then to be given to someone else to be enveloped.

"Nice to see you've joined us again, have a nice chat with the Captain?" He grumbled at me. "It was rather painful to watch Sir, the audience isn't as enthusiastic as 12 year olds" I said behind handed the next piece of paper, stamping it in the top left corner. "Well those men have been through hell, Schmidt  apparently doesn't hold back" he said signing his name again.

That's one thing they finally have in their brains, that HYDRA isn't something you want to mess with. Schmidt clearly didn't send out any of his best guys, probably sending out some mediocre agents, that I had probably beaten up before, and a few newer recruits.

"Colonel Philips" Steve said, trailing into the tent with Peggy by his side. I looked up from the sheet I was stamping, looking at Peggy curiously. She wasn't supposed to be here.

"Well, if it isn't the Star-Spangled Man With A Plan. And what is your plan today?" Philips mocked him, standing up from his chair. "I need the casualty list from Azzano" Steve requested. "You don't get to give me orders, son" Philips scoffed, slightly impressed at Steve's confidence.

"I just need one name. Sergeant James Barnes from the hundred and seventh" Steve said, disregarding the colonels previous statement. He points a finger at Peggy, looking at her with pointed eyes, "You and I are gonna have a conversation later that you won't enjoy".

"Please tell me if he's alive, sir. B-A-R-" Steve started spelling, a pleading look in his eyes. "I can spell, I have signed more of these condolence letters today than I would care to count. But the name does sound familiar. I'm sorry" Colonel said, the colour immediately draining from his face. I didn't read the names on the slips that I had been stamping, so honestly if it did go through us, I wouldn't even know. The whole time this conversation was going on I continually stamped the letters, setting them in the pile on the colonels desk.

"What about the others? Are you planning a rescue mission?" Steve asked eagerly, pleading for a reason to be the hero. "Yeah, It's called winning the war" Colonel Philips scoffed at Steve, not planning on listening to his inexperienced advice."But if you know where they are, why not at least" Steve begged, a small chance that his friend may still be alive.

"They're thirty miles behind the lines. Through the most heavily fortified territory in Europe. We'd lose more men than we'd save. But I don't expect you to understand that, because you're a chorus girl" Philips stated, Steve not backing down for a minute.
"I think I understand just fine" Steve replied. "Well then understand it somewhere else. If I read the posters correctly, you got some place to be in thirty minutes" Philips taunted walking back to his desk and taking a seat and starting with the pile of letters.

I stared up at Peggy, a small smirk on my face, she shrugged her shoulders in response to me. My eyes shifted to look at Steve, just in time to see him take a glance at the map that had the location of the men on it, which I knew was in fact a HYDRA camp that i had been to.

Steve turned on his heel, Peggy trailing along behind him. The pile of letters that sat in front of me was finished, meaning i had already completed my job of the day. "Sir, thats me finished" I said looking at him as he signed another letter.

"Just head off then" he replied simply, sounding a little bit annoyed. I stood up leaving the tent the same way my friends had done moments before. A plan was already forming in my head, only needing perfect execution now. I was one step ahead of Steve knowing exactly what he would do, I walked around the tent to a jeep, jumping in the vechle and turning the keys in the ignition. Keys which were just coincidentally in the ignition, just my luck.

As if on cue Steve walked towards the rows of jeeps his eyes falling upon the one I was in. Peggy took large steps in attempt to keep up with Steve, also seeing me in the jeep with a confused look on her face. "Get in, I know what you want to do. I have one condition though" I said as they clambered into the back seats buckling in quickly.

"Let me come with you, no offence but you have no fighting experience. You need more than muscle" I said twisting around in my seat to face them. "Well I'll come too then" Peggy declared, Steve snapping his neck to look at her. "Ally can come with me, we need someone on the ground as well. We should be fine" He disclosed, nodding his head to convince him the plan was good. Peggy didn't try to argue, "You can't exactly walk to Austria" she reviewed.

"I think I know someone" I said turning around again, pushing my foot on to the pedal, the plan finally becoming active.
