Funtime Freddy x Reader

You took your time walking into work on this night, knowing what was coming in advance. It wasn't so much that you weren't prepared, lord knew you expected it every shift you worked now. It was more of an anticipation thing at this point. But, you decided, it was a long enough wait and you didn't want to delay it much further.

The keys jingled in the lock as you attempted to get in quickly and lock the door behind you, but it was too late and your presence was instantly known. "[Y/N]!!!" Two voices in unison cried out, loud footsteps careening down the hall in your direction. You yanked the keys loose and fell into a ready position, though It didn't really do you much good in the next few seconds. A white-and-pink bear skidded around the corner, nearly falling over in his haste before launching forward to you.

The bear scooped you up into his arms immediately, picking you up off the floor like you weighed nothing. "Oooh [y/n], it's soooo good to see you~!" he chirped happily, holding you firmly to his pink tummy, "Our favorite grown-up, right Bon-Bon?"

A blue bunny popped up over your right shoulder with a giggle, his little paws settling on your upper arm before his smooth plastic cheek pressed against your own. "Uh-huh, Freddy!" Bon-Bon agreed, "That's our [y/n]!"

You couldn't help but to let out a soft laugh at the pair's antics. They greeted you like this every night, despite you trying to break them of scooping you up immediately. It was just another of their quirks, you supposed. "I'm glad to see you both," you replied with a bit of strain from the bear's tight grip, "Just like I was last night. And the night before, and last week." You lifted the hand that wasn't pinned by Freddy's grip on your back and patted the large bear's side. "Now put me down, you big goofballs. You know I gotta get to work!"

Your words seemed to startle Freddy out of his idle cuddling of your smaller form. "Ooh, you're right," he agreed, lowering you back to the floor so that you could get you feet underneath yourself before he let go. The bear drew back as you straightened your ruffled jacket with a few pats. "Ballora had some issues with her track today, you'll probably need to clean it!" he pointed out with a soft chuckle that didn't quite reach his normal levels of giddy enthusiasm.

"Ooh goody," you replied more to yourself than Freddy, picking up your dropped things as you wondered exactly what was wrong. You turned your attention to Funtime Freddy and Bon-Bon. "How much you wanna bet there's some pizza gunking up the track?" you asked with a smirk.

"Eeeeewww~!" Bon-Bon exaggerated his reaction to get a laugh out of you. It worked, you could only respond with a shake of your head as you breezed past the both of them to put up your things.

Musing to yourself as you hung your jacket up in the employee room, you thought about how you'd expected this job to go when you'd gotten the position several weeks ago. You'd thought it would be more about keeping the animatronics from breaking down, giving them routine once-overs. You still did that, sure. But you hadn't counted on the group of animatronics becoming your close friends, nor that your job would include hanging out with them.

You were getting paid to do this. Amazing~

Shaking yourself loose from your thoughts, you gathered up your tool kit just in case you had to crack open the casing to fix the track.

Kneeling in the floor of Ballora Gallery, you peered into the embedded floor track. All four(uhh, four-and-a-half) animatronics gathered on the ballerina's stage to discuss their day so as to not leave you out of the conversation. That was kind of them, but you were a little distracted away from their words as you carefully reached down into the rollers and gears of the track.

"Well I guess I lose the bet, if there was one," you muttered as your fingers closed around a thin metal object that had caught in the track.

"What was that, dearest?" Ballora asked softly, turning her body even as she spun idly on the section of track on her stage.
