Mia's P.O.V.
Getting my bag that was placed vaguely on the passenger's seat, I walked out of my car locking it behind me. The early morning breeze blew my face; making my cheeks go a gentle tint of pink. I took deep breaths as I entered the spacious building, whispering to myself that everything was going to be okay. Out of nervousness, I played with the silver ring on my finger. Constantly checking my phone, it was now 9:00 am; just in time for my shift to start.
I walked over to my usual spot, glancing at the walls full of instruments. This was the only place that I could really feel secure, the only place where the disquietude of the outside world would disappear. I focused on the little details around me: the soft sunlight hitting the windows, warming up my skin; the quiet relaxing music playing in the background; and the customers coming in, sitting down at their desks.
Mrs. Bradley walked in flashing a sunny smile, taking a look at the number of costumers filling the small music shop. She smiled at me softly walking into her office and took a seat at her desk.
"Good morning Mia, would you look at that! It's pretty packed today, huh?" She said enthusiastically.
I took a glance at the door where a blond-haired boy walked in. He looked at me, flashing me a soft smile. I felt my cheeks starting to blush, tinting them a shade of pink. I smiled back as he turned around.
Mrs Bradley leaned on the door frame, waiting for the boy to give her a good excuse of his tardy. As I returned to my computer with my arms full of paperwork, the blond-haired boy looked at me with his soft blue eyes, making me want to hold the gaze as he smiled and started to walk towards me.
Finn Allen - I've known him since I came to the music shop for the first time. He was here when I realised that I had to start being able to express myself with music; it was my dream, and I had to follow it no matter what. Finn had short blond hair, his eyes were blue with a tint of sea green, and he has that soft smile that just makes me blush.
I guess it's obvious I like him, but I mean let's be honest here, do I look like the kind of person he would like back? We were friends; that's just what I was to him, but sometimes I wish we could be more. Let's not forget that he also tutors me, helping me learn how to play guitar and, now piano.
"Hey Mia, how you doin'?" He asked me with a soft look in his eyes, making me wonder if he can notice the effect his eyes have on me.
"Hey, I'm good what about you?" I glance at him.
"Did she shout at you for being late?" I asked with a chuckle.
"No, not really I just told her that there was some traffic." He responded vaguely.
"Oh, well is that what really happened?" I blurted out. He looked at me and I gave him a small smile trying to not make it awkward.
"You do love asking questions, don't you?" He smiled, avoiding the question itself.
"Yeah, I guess." I looked down.
"Well I see you have a lot of work to do so I'll let you get on then." He replied while looking at me with his light eyes, making me give him a little smile in return.
"You're just saying that, so you don't have to tell me what happened. Anyway, are we still practicing at 1:30." I asked while keeping my eyes glued to the computer screen.
"Firstly no, I'm not. And yes, we are." He said while slowly turning around with a small smirk planted on his face.
Without knowing what to do or how to reply, I gave him another gentle smile and rolled my eyes at him.
