it was so nice meeting you again

I don't know, if I told you about my habits of writing
maybe I told you
I don't know, if I showed you my dreams of enlightenment
maybe I'll show you

but it was late this time
we both sat down at the window,
watching city lights passing by
"I love this", you said
she smiles, I thought
"so beautiful", was what I answered

and I don't know how to explain when talia took over my life
it just happened like
at some point at every night
you'll fall asleep
and she's my unconscious dream

me and her we both seem to need good company
and as we chatted that one night a few weeks ago
her hand slipped into mine
and she smiled
so beautiful, I thought
and that's what it is

days and
hundreds of messages later
she showed up at my door
with a bag full of food and drinks and a bunch of movies
I figured that she'd stay the night for the first time ever
and
as my head landed on her chest
my mind went completely blank
I was blessed
I was smelling her warmth
I was embracing talia

so I truly fell for her

and as her lips met mine
fireworks started all around
my head created a party of action potentials, connecting new synapses and my heart started an overwhelming race against itself,
it was jumping, running, beating, hunting more of talia

talia
her name was the best thing I ever moaned while having sex
her name was the one word looking pretty in my hand writing
talia
is who I started to love

it was so nice meeting her again,
cause
I still love the way she calls me,
her self-made cooking skills and unhealthy affection for this one tv series
I love her singing while cleaning
and always wearing two different socks a day

girl,
I still love you so much
I can't explain what every day meant to me
that's why I hope I told you about my habits of writing,
cause you're my favourite language to write in
and I hope that I showed you what enlightenment means
and how enlightening you've been

but it's tragic
-as you left again,
you took so much more than you'd thought
you won my heart
you won my guitar
and every poem I wrote
then you left to travel around the world
and I'm still here
looking outside the window
asking myself
if we'll ever have good company again

yeah,
it was nice meeting you again
getting this 'I-fucking-missed-you' kiss pressed against the wall,
but it's not the same
I know now you'll always leave again
looking for more than you can explore inside my eyes
and
I think I needed to realize that
talia
is just one of so many verses
describing what I experience as my life

cause I love this
and smile
it's all beautiful
