"Y/n!"

Someone tackles me on the soft bed and hugs me tightly. In confusion, I slowly hug him back, why did he yell my name? The teenage boy lifts his chubby face to show tears on the corners on his black-coloured eyes. "Y/n, I thought- I thought you..."

"Thought I what? What happened..?"

His eyes turn wide, seemingly speechless with his mouth unable to speak. "Don't- Don't you remember? "

"Jimin, I told you to wait..." A woman walks into the white room, hands flying to her mouth and she gasps glancing at us. I observe 'Jimin' flicker his teary gaze to the woman who entered the room. "M-mum, Y/n doesn't..." A sob escapes the boy and more tears fall from his eyes. My heart seems to pang and I feel myself unconsciously move to wipe his tears with my thumb, hands on his cheeks. I couldn't control myself, it felt like second instinct to me. I feel him leaning on my left hand and I thought he was okay but, then he started crying again, harder this time. Did I do something wrong? Was he someone I knew?

Why don't I remember?

I feel something cold on my cheeks, flowing down to my chin. I'm crying, but why? Why am I crying? I don't understand!

Why am I weeping with a boy I don't know, or maybe I had forgotten? I pat his softly head as he cries into my shirt, making it wet. I stop to dry my tears, looking up to the woman near the entrance. Her eyes are also red and puffy, just like Jimin's. Is that his mom? If so, then where's mine? Where's, dad?

Should I ask Jimin? I shake the boy's shoulders, making him look up to me. I see his puffy eyes, his mouth set in a crumbling frown and sticky tears sliding down his face. I hold back a tide of sobs, fighting to make a coherent sentence.

"Do you know where my Mum and my Dad is?" He looked stunned for a second before looking back down. I shake him again, but he doesn't reply. I glance up at his mother, only to see her sitting down on a chair and covering her face with her hands, shaking.

Maybe they don't know, I'll ask someone else. For now, I want to hug Jimin, I feel like hugging him. So I do. I wrap my arms around him and place my chin on his head, thinking about what happened; but nothing came up. I let out a sigh and look down to him, he's still crying.

I recall his name, "Jimin..." His name rolled off my tongue and felt so comfortable to say. I feel Jimin looking up, his face seeming to light up.

"Y/n? Do you remember me?" He pleaded, "Please, just please remember..."

"I-" Tears started flowing down my cheeks again. Not able to bear the broken look in his eyes, I stare back down. "I don't remember you."

I don't remember you, I want to remember you. I want to, I want to remember...! I hug him tight, I don't want to let go. I don't want to forget. I don't want to see you cry.

I don't know for how long, but we cried there, in that bright hospital room together. After a while though, the boy sat up sniffling as he wipes his last tears away. He pulls my arms away from him, holding my hands in his. Did I do something wrong?

He stares directly at me, gaze unwavering, as he speaks, "Y-Y/n, my name is Park Jimin. I," he hesitates, closing his eyes in restraint, "I, I was your best friend since, forever." Jimin gives me a weak - but sincere- smile.

He's my best friend? That, that doesn't seem right in a way...' I nod though, trying to ignore the nagging voice in my head saying that something is wrong, saying that he's lying.
