The Nahj al-Balagha is the most famous collection of sermons, letters, tafsirs and narrations attributed to Ali, cousin and son-in-law of Muhammad, dealing with different religious topics as well as how to be pious and prepare for the Hereafter. It was collected by Sharif Razi, a Shia scholar in the Tenth century Known for its eloquent content. It is considered a masterpiece of literature in Shia Islam. Sharif ar-Radhi lived in Baghdad, Iraq (a center of Islamic learning) and compiled the book four centuries after Hijrat.
