Chapter 16

A few hours later

Ross:(sitting next to Laura hoping for her to wake up)

Stormie & Mark:(asleep)

Riker, Rocky & Rydel:(looks at Ross)

Rydel:(whispers) He hasn't moved in a while

Riker:(smirks) Probably in a trance by Laura's beauty

Rocky:(laughs) Good one

Ross:(just staring at Laura)

Ross's POV/

I know my siblings are talking about me but I couldn't care less on what they're saying. I was just staring at Laura hoping that she'd wake up and I'd shower her in kisses but we all know that that is just a fantasy. She's just so beautiful, even if she looks lifeless. She'll always be my princess no matter what. I feel so bad for letting this all happen. I know it's not my fault... well at least not all of it but I still feel like all of it is. I just don't know whether I believe in Rocky or me. I then saw Laura move. I then hope she did again but then I realize that it was just an imagination. Ugh! How long does it take to wake up after a car accident?! I'm not trying to sound mean or anything but I just want to see those gorgeous big brown eyes and her angelic voice. I just miss her :( I suddenly break out of my thoughts by my siblings trying to get my attention.

End of POV/

Riker, Rydel & Rocky: Ross!!

Ross:(snaps out of it) What?

Riker: Visiting hours are over

Ross: I have to stay here. I have too

Stormie: But Ross--

Ross: No mom. I have to stay here with Laura, what id she wakes up and I'm not there to be by her side telling her it's gonna be okay? Who'lll do that? I have to stay here please

Mark:(sighs) Are you sure?

Ross:(nods)

Mark: I'll go ask the doctor

Ross:(smiles) Thanks dad

Mark:(nods and walks out)

Ross: Mom

Stormie: Yes?

Ross: Is she ever gonna wake up?

Rydel: Of course she will Ross, don't say things like that

Ross: Sorry I just want her to be okay

Riker: She will be, you just got to give her some time

Ross: I guess so

Mark & doctor:(walks in)

doctor: I hear someone wants to stay over night

Ross: Please doctor. She's my best friend and I just want to make sure she's okay

doctor:(sighs) I don't know young man

Ross: Please. What id she wakes up? She hates being by herself and I've always been there for her, please let me stay here

doctor:(sighs) Okay, you can stay

Ross:(smiles)

doctor: Just be careful

Ross:(nods)

doctor: Okay well if everything here is sorted then I'll best be leaving (walks out)

Stormie: We'll be back tomorrow morning sweetie

Ross:(nods) And btw don't bring Ryland

Rocky: Ha! Wouldn't dream of it

Ross:(chuckles) Bye guys

everyone: Bye (walks out)

Ross:(pulls a chair over and sits next to Laura) Hey Laur, I know you can't hear me and all but I just want to let you know that I'm here for you and I always will be. I'm sorry for being a jerk to you and all but I was just mad that you didn't believe in me anymore. I'm really sorry Laura and I hope you can take me back as your best friend again. I still have feelings for you but I'm willing to put that aside, anything to have you back in my life again (kisses her forehead and falls asleep with his head on Laura's hospital bed and holding her hand)
