A/N: Hello, umm..... it is my first fanfic so I'm not very good at this. Although I'm looking forward to trying my hand at it! But uh, read this?
-I don't own the characters from HP, obviously
-Possible triggers
-Dumbledore killed Voldemort, so there's no war, never happened
-This fanfic will be taking place in the 5th and 6th years, possibly 7th
-These are like 15-18 year olds
-Critics are welcome!
-There will likely be side ships
-Etc.
Now, on to the story!!

(Harry's POV)
It's the end of fifth year, and people are starting to come into their creature inheritances. You know because people are screaming bloody fricken murder in the middle of the night. I, on the other hand, still haven't gotten mine. I figured I'm just a late bloomer, like always. Although if I happened to come into my inheritance while at the Dursley's I'll have one heck of a time. Wonder what I'll be? Neither Ron nor Hermione have gotten theirs either, although I highly doubt they ever will. Especially Hermione.
Anyways, Ron and I just finished packing for home.
"We ought to go down stairs to the common room, it'll be the last time for a while you know?" Ron said, throwing a glance at me as he shut his trunk.
"True, it always seems to be sadder that the last doesn't it?" I replied, double checking my nightstand drawers.
"Yeah, but it can't be near as bad for me since you have to go to......" He trailed off.
"Yeah," I mumbled, "anyways, we should be going,"
"Harry! Ronald!" A voice came from down the stairs, "Hurry up! It can't possibly take that long!"
Whoops, I thought, I nearly forgot about Hermione!
By the time I got down there Mione and Ron we breaking out of a hug.
"Took you long enough!" Hermione said sniffling a bit.
Before I could respond she wrapped me into a tight hug. I hugged back, since Mione was still shorter than me I had to look down a bit. She tilted her head up a bit, Hermione's eyes were tearier than before.
"Be safe," She whispered to me, before breaking apart the hug.
(TIME SKIP TO LOADING THE TRAIN BACK)
As we loaded the train I stopped, glancing back at the castle, at Hogwarts, at home. I sighed. I hated having to leave, it meant I had to go back to the Dursley's. The Dursley's and another long period of abuse and starvation.
"Ought not to dottle, Harry. Off you go now," Hagrid said from somewhere behind him.
"I know.... it's just.." I began, "ah, never mind, I'll just miss it, is all," I lied.
Hagrid only nodded and walked off, helping the first years.
"Harry, come on! You don't want to get lost, I want us all to sit in a compartment together!" Ron grumbled, as Hermione tugged on his sleeve lightly.
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" I responded.
(A LITTLE WHILE LATER)
"Thank goodness we finally found one!" Hermione said plopping down into an empty seat.
"I'm so glad we found an empty compartment!" I said dropping on to a seat opposite of her.
We sat there for a few minutes in silence, staring out the windows.
"Bloody Hell! Potter, you're everywhere! Makes me sick," exclaimed a rather to familiar voice at the compartment door.
I whipped my head around, and there standing in the door, was Draco Malfoy. Just as I had thought.
"Malfoy!?!" Ronald sneered, "what do you want?!?"
(Draco's POV)
I opened another compartment. Hopefully this one'll be empty. Or at the very least have a Slytherin in it! After a deep breath to mask my frustration I slid open the compartment door.
"Bloody Hell! Potter, you're everywhere! Makes me sick," I exclaimed a bit louder than I expected.
He whipped his head around, staring me dead in the eyes. I could already see the anger in his eyes. A sly Slytherin smirk crept across my face.
"Malfoy!?!" The Weasel sneered, "What do you want?!?"
"Compartments are full," I hissed, sliding into the seat next to Potter.
"Then why don't you find another one?" The Mud blood jeered.
"Because I'm tired and don't want to walk anymore," I growled beneath my breath, although they obviously heard.
The Mud blood seemed to accept that, although with an eye roll, and started out the window again. Weasel on the other hand continued to glare at me, his arms crossed.
"Fair enough," Potter grumbled, sweeping the compartment with his gaze.
After a few minute someone finally spoke, it was Potter. Oh great, what's he got to say now?!?
"So, anyone happen to come into a creature inheritance?" He questioned, not directly toward or away from anyone.
"Harry, you know very well neither of us have," The Weasel responded quite irritably.
The irritation in his voice intrigued me and I decided I'd listen in on the conversation.
"Well yeah, but.." Potter replied, "what about Malfoy?"
What? Did I just hear that right? His asking about ME? Potter most've gone mad! I thought.
"No, I've yet to get mine either," I inquired.
"Really? What do you think you'll inherit?" Potter pushed, staring at me intently and interested now.
I sighed. I didn't particularly want to talk to any of them but we had a long train ride ahead of us and I might as well.
"Veela, I expect. It runs in the family," I responded coldly, "And you, Potter? I know they won't get much,"
"True," He muttered, "not sure. I'm hoping for something like that, too. I'd love to be able to fly, on my own,"
"I'm sure you would,"
(TIME SKIP)
I awoke to find myself surrounded by Potter's friends, at first I was confused. Then I remembered what had happened, as I blinked sleep from my eyes. I only then realized what my head had been resting upon. Potter.
I sat up in disgust, quickly moving away from him. I pray everyone had been asleep and no one saw what disgracefulness had accrued. Utterly disgusted I propped myself up on the wall this time instead of a person. That's when I noticed the Mud blood staring at me, her eyes widened and jaw dropped.
"Draco..! Were you just..?!?" She whispered loudly.
There was panic surging through me as my face grew hotter and redder.
"N-no!" I managed to stammer, flustered, "I-I most certainly was not!"
Her mouth formed a smile and she started giggling, "Oh yes you were!"
"Shhhh! I didn't mean t-"
"Don't worry! I won't tell anyone," she giggled at me, with a humongous grin on her face.
"And by the way, you face is bright red!" She whispered.
As flustered as I was I couldn't disagree there. So I shut my mouth and began to read a book I had pulled from inside my robe, hiding my face behind it.
