Zi Xuan knew that Yu Hao was a drinker, but he didn't know this heavy. It was around his third or fourth drink that he started getting personal.

They were standing at the railing of the building, Zi Xuan finishing off his second (and last) drink of the night. Yu Hao was about to order his fifth.

Yu Hao sniffed, turning his head to look at Zi Xuan. "You know, my life is falling apart." He laughed, but it was cold and heartless, and he performed the action without smiling.

"What do you mean?" He moved closer to Yu Hao, so that their shoulders were touching.

"You know what I mean." Yu Hao spoke solemnly. "I failed as a professional volleyball player. I'm not as good as you at coaching. All I can do is drink and hook up with girls." Zi Xuan knew he was drunk, but he hated hearing Yu Hao put himself down, especially when Zi Xuan thought he was the most amazing person in the world.

"Yu Hao." He put an arm around him, rubbing his back. "I think you're awesome at coaching. And the kids love you too. You didn't fail as a volleyball player, you just became unfocused." He squeezed Yu Hao's arm comfortingly. "That's all it is."

Yu Hao shook his head, then leaned it against the bar. "No. I'm a failure. And the only reason I come to coach every day is to see you."

Zi Xuan's eyes widened at the confession. Yeah, he had a huge crush on Yu Hao, but he never assumed that Yu Hao felt the same. Zi Xuan shook his head, his heart loosing brightness as he remembered one thing. "You're drunk, Yu Hao." He took one of Yu Hao's hands in his own. "C'mon, I'll take you home."

He paid for their drinks and walked downstairs, Yu Hao hanging off Zi Xuan's arm for balance. Things only got harder for Zi Xuan when they got in the car and Yu Hao promptly began crying.

He didn't want to be an asshole and ask for directions to Yu Hao's house. He was in bad condition, and Zi Xuan couldn't just stop him and go. The angel in his heart told him it wasn't okay.

So, he tried his best to ignore the sniffling boy beside him, enduring at as he drove him to his apartment.

He hoped and prayed Qian Rui wouldn't be there as he helped Yu Hao up the stairs, supporting his body with all his weight. Yu Hao clung onto his hoodie, trying his best not to fall.

Zi Xuan wasn't quite sure what to do with him. He took his keys, opening his apartment and stepping inside, pulling Yu Hao in as well. He had an arm around the younger's waist, Yu Hao draped against his body. Yu Hao held him for stability, but when his ice-cold fingers touched Zi Xuan's warm neck, he received a eyes-wide look.

"Your hands are freezing." Zi Xuan said, concerned eyes focused on Yu Hao.

"I know." Yu Hao shrugged. "I'm freezing."

"You should have a bath." Zi Xuan lead him to the bathroom, sitting him down on the toilet. He started the water, making sure it was warm, then turning back to Yu Hao.

"I really hate to say this." He started. "But take off your clothes."

Yu Hao stood up shakily, taking his time to regain balance. His cheeks were flushed red as he lifted the hem of his blue t-shirt, avoiding Zi Xuan's hot gaze.

Zi Xuan tried not to stare at the muscular torso in front of him, had to keep himself from reaching out and touching him. He glanced at the tub, then back at Yu Hao, who met his eyes and muttered 'help'.

Zi Xuan wrapped an arm around Yu Hao's waist, holding him steady as Yu Hao unbuttoned his pants and slid them off. Zi Xuan but his lip, praying he wouldn't have any reaction to seeing Yu Hao's member.

He helped Yu Hao into the tub full of warm water, relishing his sigh when his body was warmed. Zi Xuan reached out, brushing Yu Hao's hair back affectionately.

Yu Hao's mouth opened, then closed. He looked away from Zi Xuan, then looked back up. "I really want to kiss you." He slurred, reaching a wet hand up to stroke Zi Xuan's cheek. He lifted himself up slightly, staring into those two tantalizing brown eyes.

Zi Xuan wanted so bad to touch him, to kiss him, to make him feel what he felt, but he couldn't. More like he wouldn't. He was sure that, as soon as Yu Hao was sober, he would regret anything they did. Staring into those eyes, so close to his now, their lips almost touching, Zi Xuan made a decision.

He turned his head to the side, making Yu Hao stop before he touched any skin. Zi Xuan shook his head, eyes closed tight. "You're drunk, Yu Hao. You'll regret it if you kiss me now." He heard Yu Hao slump back into the tub, felt his eyes still burning holes into him.

"I'll go get you some pyjamas to change in after your shower."

He stood up and left, heart thundering wilder than a thousand horses.
