XIX - Our Time Together

"I'm in here too" Yeonwoo answered without any hesitation

What the actual f*ck?!

I slightly slapped her chest and mouthed "why did you answer? she might think we're doing something"

She giggled and whispered "are we not?"

"Uhm, we're just taking a shower. We'll be out in a bit" she told the nurse

"Ok, Ms Lee. I'll just come back after 15 minutes"

"Sure. Thank you" she answered

We started laughing as we heard the door closed

She kissed me once more and said "Not today, princess"

"It's fine. There will be a perfect time for it" I answered hugging her

After Yeonwoo's wound has been cleaned and her bandage has been changed, we packed up and checked out of the hospital

"Where do you want to go now, Ms Lee?" I asked

"Anywhere you want, Ms Mcdonie" she answered

We laughed at how formal we call each other. It sounds weird

I love seeing Yeonwoo laugh. It gives pleasure to my heart

"What do you say we go to a hotel and stay there for three days?" I suggested

"What? Seriously?" she said looking so surprised

"Oh, you don't like that?"

"N-no. I mean, I like that. I was just surprised you'd suggest it. I had the same idea, but mine was for a week"

"Just three days, Dabin"

Just three days.. the pain struck my heart again

"Hey, are you ok?" she asked holding my hand

"Y-yeah, I'm ok" I answered giving her a smile

"Let's go then"

We hailed a taxi and went our way to the hotel of her choice

My jaw dropped as we arrived at the place

It's so big and looks so luxurious

I don't think I can afford to be in this place for three days

"Dabin" I pulled her shirt

"What?"

"Are you sure you want to stay here? There might be other hotels out there that are, you know.. more affordable"

She chuckled "Don't worry. This is on me"

"Ms Lee!" greeted the receptionist who looks like a model

She knows Dabin? Does she come here often?!

With her face details, I know she's a foreigner

I can't help but be jealous

"Hi, Lisa!"

Ugh! Dabin knows her too

"It's good to see you again. How are you?You haven't checked in for so long" said the girl, completely ignoring me

You haven't checked in for so long. What now? You've missed her?

"Yeah. I was busy with school stuff. Dad just gave us one week of rest because of this" she said pointing at her wound

"Oh, what happened?"

You don't have to explain, Dabin

"Long story"

Good!

Dabin might have noticed I don't feel comfortable

So she pulled me close and introduced me to the receptionist

"Oh, this is Nancy, by the way. My girlfriend"

My girlfriend... My girlfriend... My girlfriend..

Those words echoed in my ear , I couldn't help but smile

"Oh, how cute!" she said looking at me with her hands on her cheeks "I'm, Lisa" she extended her hand

I shook her hand and answered "Nice to meet you, Lisa"

"You've got yourself an adorable girlfriend, Ms Lee" she said while shaking my hand

She's not as bad as I thought

"I'll have your room ready in a bit. I'm sure you guys need to rest" she winked

Dabin chuckled

I squeezed her hand

"What?"

"Can you at least give me an idea of how much we need to pay for us to stay here?"

Lisa might have heard it

"Oh, it's for free, Ms Nancy"

"For free?" I asked confusedly

"Yeah. We don't charge the owner of this hotel" Lisa chuckled

I looked at Dabin "Owner?"

"My father gave this hotel to me on my seventh birthday" she answered

I nearly choked upon hearing what she said

That's how wealthy she is?

I suddenly felt small.. well, I am small

But knowing the gap between our status in life makes me feel like she doesn't deserve someone like me

She hugged me and kissed my head "Hey, it's fine. We're here to enjoy, aren't we?"

That gave me a relief

She's right. She took me here not to brag, but to enjoy this time with her

It didn't matter to her what things I have in life. She just loved me the way I am

And I love her just the way she is
