I could see my reflection in the flowing river stream until a rock was thrown in front of me, splashing the cold water onto my light red, basically pink, shirt and shorts. I squealed, my body jolting backwards.

My grey, gleaming eyes darted over to whoever was next to me, seeing the boy with a green hoodie with many yellow flowers sprouting next to him; joy. It looked like a whole flower field grew around him.

"Edd!" I whined, fluffing my devil-like-hair. "Haha, sorry Tord!" Edd rubbed the back of his neck, hopping over to me. Little yellow roses spread around me, showing I was feeling joyful as well. "So, what are you doing out here? Mom wants us back home soon." The boy explained, tilting his head. I fixed the two bracelets on my left wrist and the piercings on my right ear, clearing my throat. "I just wanted to be outside?" I giggled, covering my mouth with my hand. "Oh."

Edd was like a brother, I moved in with him and his mother after my parents left to go to Norway. They said that they were coming soon. That was 6 years ago.

A few bright yellow flowers of mine started to get dark grey tips, the edges of my lips curling into a frown. I looked at Edd to see if he noticed.

"Let's go." I quickly blurted out.

~

"Hey mom!" Edd waved to his mother when he set foot in the home. "Hi." I muttered, loving the sweet scent of the home. It never got old.

"Boys," Tabitha, my 'mom', started. "Guess what day it is!" Both Edd and I groaned, throwing our heads back. "Cleaning day!" Mom's brown locks of hair bounced up when she jumped, raising her hands up in the air.

Tabitha handed us cleaning materials to clean our rooms then left into the kitchen.

The tall brunette looked directly into my soft, grey eyes. "Wanna ditch?" He mischievously said, chuckling. "Oh fuck yeah." I smirked, jerking my head towards the front door as a greenish-yellow flower sprouted through a floorboard; mischief. Edd nodded, slowly walking to make sure Tabitha didn't hear us getting closer to the door.

I stepped on a wood plank, making a huge creeeeeak sound.

"Shit-" I mumbled. "Boys! I know you're trying to 'sneak' out again!" She spitefully yelled out. "Go go go!" Edd swung the door open, being hit with the outside smell once more and pushed me out. He quickly stepped out, slamming the door closed behind us.

We were laughing as we ran from the house, seeing it get farther away. Every step we took, a bright yellow flower grew from the ground.

~

We soon reached a dimly lit coffee shop, my eyes widening as I grinned. Edd and I calmly walked inside, getting hit with a wave of the smell of coffee beans.

We shuffled our way over to the barista, taking a good look at him. I noticed he had very consuming, pitch black eyes that you could get lost in for the rest of eternity. This barista looked a bit shorter than me, which is surprising as I'm a pretty short dude.

I could feel my face heat up, looking away as I heard Edd order for the both of us. I looked at the floor, seeing pinkish roses trying to sprout from the floor; a new interest~. "Fuck-" I mumbled, quickly stepping on them.

I felt Edd nudge me with his elbow. I had no idea he was watching me, turning my head towards him. "You saw nothing." "Sure~" The taller male childishly said.

I glanced up at this no eyed man, which he was working on the drinks, a soft smile plastered on my face.
