I fell asleep for the rest of the flight, I thought it was probably the best idea, as I wouldnt then have to try and ignore the boys as they walk up and down the isles. As an air hostess shakes me slightly to wake me up, I awaken from my deep sleep, stretching as I sit up, the air hostess sending me a sweet smile, "Were about to land, put your seat belt on" She says, before scurrying off.
I immediately do that, sitting up, putting my seatbelt on. My headphones continue to play Ed Sheeran as I cling i to the arm rests as we begin to make out descent into Sydney. I press my eyes shut until I feel the bump, signalling we've landed, opening one eye to look out of the window, to see we have landed. I release my grip, opening both eyes as I begin to relax, grabbing my bag and laptop from beneath the seat.
As the plane comes to a hault, i quickly unbuckle my seat belt, throwing my bag over my shoulder, taking my computer under my arm. i stand up, looking for the nearest available exit as I can see everyone including the boys infront beginning to get up. I turn around seeing an air hostess signalling an exit. I then quickly turn on my heal, power walking into the airport, feeling a sudden gust of warm air as I get off the plane before walking into the air conditioned airport.
I quickly walk to customs, joining the not so long queue to go through. I look over to where I have just come from, seeing a few people from the flight begin to walk through, I let out a large sigh, as I finally realise after a few minutes that the four people walking towards the line are in fact the four I want to avoid.
I am next called to go through, as the grumpy looking man checks my passport, then allowing me through. I check which carousel my baggage is going to, to which I go and wait for my luggage.
I stand by the carousel, hoping my bags will come before the boys even get through as I loose them amongst the crowds. I take in the beautiful words of Ed sheeran as I stand in an air conditioned box, basically, in a country where I know no one and just want to chill and come to terms with everything. As I become emerged in my thoughts, a tall body comes to stand next to me, I decide not to turn around as my eyes are fixated on the numerous bags turning on the carousel, none of them, mine.
I can hear the person next to me say something but because of the headphones, i can't make it out. I just decide to ignore it as i continue to listen to the music.
The tall body turns to me, their grey tshirt brushing up against my arm of my hoodie, causing me to look up slightly at them.
I come face to face with Luke, his face, to be honest, not looking very happy. I take my left earphone out, the closest one to him, saying nothing.
I then see my bag begin to come round the corner of the carousel, I immediately almost run to it, pulling it off the conveyer belt, adjust it and my tote bag before walking off in the direction of the exit.
"Phoebe!" I hear a voice shout, not Lukes, more like Ashton, I think anyway.
I exit the large building, pulling my suitcase behind me, both earphones returning into both of my ears, listening to ed Sheeran, once again. The heat suddenly gushing towards me, sweat already beading at my forehead as I begin to walk through the carpark.
I look amongst all the taxis to then find the one with 'Adams' in the window. I walk up to the black SUV, the small Australian man quickly gets out of the car, taking my bag, and putting it in the boot. I then turn around to see Luke, on the other side of the pedestrian crossing, looking to see if any cars are coming, as he tries to get to the carpark. I sigh and decide to wait for him to come over, as I see the rest of the boys waiting for him in the airport, viewing them through the glass doors.
He looks up as he crosses the road, his gaze meeting mine. He quickly walks over to me, his stupidly tight skinny jeans, the first thing i notice. He stops when he is just in front of me so I have to look up a little, "I thought you wernt going to wait," he looks down, his eyes glazing over as i just stay quiet. "How comes your here?" he asks, "it would be so cool, we could go to all the places I love and want to show you!" he begins to raise his voice as his excitement clearly grows. I just slowly shake my head - no - the silence spreading across to Luke. I reach up, placing a kiss on his cheek, hugging him as I wrap my arms around his neck, my hands making their way to the ends of his hair, tangling up my fingers in them. His hands resting very gently on my waist as he knows its not going to last long. I breath in his cologne, something I love but still don't know what it is, yet.
I then let go, "send my love to the boys" i whisper, and turn back around, Luke just stands, with his hands by his sides watching me, not knowing what to do, confusion spread across his face.
I get in the SUV, shutting the door behind me, telling the driver the address, and we pull out of the carpark. I watch Luke through the tinted glass as he just watches the car pull away, as the rest of the boys approach him, all emerging through the automatic doors, hugging him and patting his back, Luke just emotionless as I pull away.
