Ame's POV

There're new types of danger beast attacking people at random and now all eleven of us are heading to the new hideout.

On the way there a messenger hawk found me and perched on my shoulder. "What is that, Ame-nee?" Tatsumi asked me as he stared at the strange blue hawk on my right shoulder. "It's a messenger hawk..." I replied as I took the rolled up piece of paper from its ankle and unrolled it.

I skimped through the paper and mentally read the neat cursive handwriting.

"Dear Big Sis Ame,

Daikun and I have moved the girl to the Winter Mountains up north. The new danger beasts that have appeared found us but we managed to fend them off, no one was injured or killed. You trained us well.

By the time you read this we probably have already set up all the traps and barriers around the place. The Capital has already claimed this region a year before we arrived and it is next to impossible for them to get to the top of this mountain.

Don't worry about us, just keep doing whatever you're doing to stay alive and save this country.

Love Kate, and the rest."

I could feel eyes peering over my shoulders. "What are you guys doing?" I asked and they all went back to walking, pretending to not have tried to read my letter.

Sighing and shaking my head I slip the paper into my pocket and pulled out a piece of bread. I handed the bread to the hawk-who happily gobbled it all down.

We finally reach the base to find that it looks the exact same as our old one, just in a different location. Unfortunately-or fortunately depending on how you look at it-we made it to our new hideout without being attacked by the so-called new danger beasts.

I watched as Lubbock glared at Susanoo. 'Oh boy...' I sweat-drop at the childish sight.

After we all easily settled in boss explained to us about the new danger beasts. Basically we're helping the capital by targeting these danger beasts now but these things need to be taken care of.

The others didn't seem to mind that minor detail either so we all agreed. Chelsea was reluctant but Tatsumi gave a mini speech-one I think Bulat would be proud to hear-and she just gave in to it.

The Jaeger will handle the Danger Beasts during the day, and at night is when Night Raid will hunt.

At least... that was the plan...

"Ame-san, what happened to your clothes?" Chloe asked me, indicating to the torn pieces of fabric still clinging to my body. "I let my guard down... Those new types of Danger Beasts are uglier than I expected..." I groaned out, feeling annoyed with myself.

I walked to the supply closet and pulled out a white fluffy bath robe with light brown-red designs. "I don't have any spare clothes here, so I'll just wear this." I said to Chloe, who followed me to the supplies closet.

"Are you sure...?" she asked.

"Yeah, besides... it's... really fluffy..." I mumbled, bringing up the long sleeves to my face. "...really... really fluffy..." a dust of pink fell on to my cheeks as I got lost in how fluffy the robe was.

Chloe just sweat-dropped at me and cleared her throat. "Let's just get going..."

"Hn... okay..." I said reluctantly.

Lubbock's POV

Ame came jogging over to me and Tatsumi after I told him about my past. "Ame-nee, why are you in just a bath robe?" Tatsumi asked the water Teigu user. "I let my guard down... and it's fluffy..." was his simple and childish answer.

'Kawaii~' I thought as she brought up the long sleeves to her face, a small blush dusting her face.
