"It's alright, it's perfectly normal, Edath. You're like 22 or so, you shouldn't have to carry that entire burden. It's alright not to know everything and it's alright if you're confused at the moment since one of the most important people to you has gone. But you'll find your own purpose. And I and Nale will be here for you." He whispered and kissed her head. She sighed, calming down.

"I feel so fucking stupid. This is not how a real leader should be behaving. Thank you." She looked at him and smiled. It was the first time Lael saw that genuine smile and he was caught off guard. Since he first met her, almost seven months now, he finally understood how she was.

"D-Don't say that. I already told you, we're all human, it's okay if we break sometimes." Lael reassured. Edath sighed and then nodded.

"Well, I guess it's enough with this lame conversation. It almost looks like we're in a drama show and it's giving me the creeps." She smirked. Lael chuckled. That's the Edath I know.

"You're right. We've more things to do than to be sulking and drowned in our own thoughts." He exclaimed. Edath nodded.

"Let's go back then." She said and was beginning to walk but halted, seeing his stuff to take a bath. "Or maybe I will join you." She smirked. Lael shook his head and laughed. This is definitely Edath.

...

"Everyone, I need to speak with you." Edath exclaimed, as they finished eating their dinner, brought by Nale and Urien, which consisted in a deer and tomatoes.

They were all tired but more talkative since they saw their leader in a better state of mind than the last days. They got quiet to listen carefully what she was about to say. Lael nodded and smiled as she looked at him.

"I'm sorry about my behavior these few weeks. It should have not interfered with my normal duties and in the end it was like I had abandoned you, so I apologize for that." She spoke, uncomfortable for admitting her misbehavior.

"You don't need to apologize kiddo, we understand that better than anyone else." Miguel spoke up and winked. The rest nodded their head, underlining what he was saying.

"Thank you." She smiled. "I also realized something. We're all in this for an aim – which is my main aim, but also yours – but I never asked what your other dreams were, so I'm asking now: what would you wish to conquer in the future, if everything works out well?"

They all looked at each other, surprised by Edath's question.

"I can start saying mine then." Sarah finally spoke, even if shyly. "If we can finally have peaceful life, I would like to study, Math, more specifically." They looked at her and nodded. Edath smiled.

"I'd like to be able to sleep all day without being alert all the time." Nale wrote it down so everybody would understand what he said. They all laughed and Nale shrugged as he just said a joke, even if it wasn't one. Edath understood he couldn't think of any concrete aim or wish, since he was still pretty hurt by his cousin death.

"I'd want to start an animal and nature protection movement and work inside the laws so we'd have proper human and animal rights." Patroklos spoke up, being quite assertive. Everyone knew how he hated fights and killings and was doing a tremendous effort to eat meat, since he needed those nutrients and as there weren't many in that island he had to do his best to survive.

"Then I'd be responsible for a big cultivation to guarantee vegetables, fruits and everything that can be good to eat." Urien was hyped as he spoke too. They all laughed again.
