If anyone ever tells you life is easy, they're wrong. 100% wrong. Life is never easy except for in the eyes of a child. We learned that things are okay to mess up on, and it's good to make mistakes! When we are younger almost everything we do is praised. Younger kids definitely live the stress-free dream.
Life is then dropped down the drain once you grow up. You begin learning about opinions, how people think of you, and develop better friendships than just every other day ones from kindergarten. People leave you, you cry more, get angry, sometimes even pissed to the point you break out a fight. You have to wake up every morning and just stare in the mirror to wonder if you're even good enough to show your disgusting face outside. Pain becomes a daily thing for some people. Also, you have to find out what your life is actually going to be. What you even identify as. And the constant, nagging of the two words..... My worth.
...
My name is Anastasia. I am in 8th grade. Just your average girl? No, that doesn't sound right. If anything, my hellish life if far from just average. I've been bullied ever since I was in 3rd grade. It all started when I got up for show and tell... I remember it too vividly. I could even tell you the exact, boyish looking outfit I had on.
I stood up in the room and walked over to stand in the front of the room to share. I had brought nothing that day, so I decided to just briefly speak to my peers in the best vocabulary I had. I told them how I never felt right in my whole life. Immediately kids looked confused. I took a deep breath and blurted "I'm a boy!" And just rushed to sit back down. It wouldn't have been odd at all, but the fact that I'm a girl made the whole thing weird and confusing for those tiny, little third graders.
I then became an outcast the rest of my life. Just because of some stupid words. People would look at me weird, and as we grew up more people realized I was transgender and avoided me. I couldn't care less anyways, society disappoints me.
