CHAPTER 2

The First half of the day goes by relativley well, Of course Will had all of the same classes as me. "Lillian?" Ella snaps her fingers infront of my face to get my attention - it doesn't work. "Lill?" I shake my head and snap to.
"Oh, sorry, what did you say Ell?" I reply as I bite into my sandwich.
"Daydreaming about the new guy?" She asks.
"No way Ell!" I reply. She knew I wasn't but She just loves to tease me.
"Mm, sure. So, how is he? Will, I mean."
I roll my eyes, "He has all the same classes as me Ell! I can't get rid of him!"
"Maybe that's not such a bad thing..." she winks. "Ooh! Speak of the devil! Aw, how cute, he looks like a lost puppy!" She starts to flag him down.
"Ella don't you dar-"
"Oops, too late. Sorry Lill." I sigh and take another bite of my sandwich.

"Hey Will. Wanna join us?" She asks as she points to the seat beside me. Of course, I think as I glare at her. Can't I just eat my lunch in peace? Is that too much to ask for? "So how's your first day? Whaddya think of Leighton Heights High?" She asks as she tosses a fry into her mouth.
"Uh it's good. Lillian really helped me" he says as he sets his tray of food down and turns to me. "Thank you Lillian" he says, turning back to face his food.
"Oh, it's no big deal, glad I could help" I say as I place a fake smile onto my face and clean up my lunch.
"Leaving already? But we only just got started. Don't you wanna know more about Will?" Ella smiles. That's it, right there. Im sucked in, I can't say no, I don't wanna know more about Will. Please keep in mind, I am much nicer than this, I really am. I don't want anyone to get the wrong image of me, but this guy brings out the attitude in me I guess.

I put on yet another fake smile and slide back into my chair. "Sure, I guess I have a little more time" I say.
Ella claps her hands "Great, so Will, tell us about yourself."
He takes a sip of his soda, "well, Im actually from a town just outside Leighton Heights, I attended Anyelle Academy" Wow, Anyelle Academy. That's a seriously prestigious school. I guess I underestimated our friend over here. He continues "but, my I guess you could say 'foster mother' decided it was time to change schools. I have a bunch of 'brothers and sisters'' he paused.
"Why would you ever switch out of Anyelle Academy? It's seriously prestigious" I ask after he finishes. He stares at me blankly, thinking about the answer.
"Like I said, my foster mother decided it was time to switch." He's hiding something...

Ella decides it's her turn and starts her introduction, "Ooh, interesting Will. Well as you already know Im Ella. I love shopping and I've lived in Leighton Heights since third grade" she fixes a stray hair. "Your turn Lill."
I sigh and straighten in my chair. "Im seventeen, clearly. I practically take care of my mother. My father died when I was little. I want to leave Leighton Heig-"
Ella sighs " Oh Lillian, not again. Tell Will something interesting about yourself, not your sob story." Oh, I'm sorry I'm not as amazing as you Ella. Will interrupts my mind rant " I don't mind. She can tell me whatever she wants about herself Ell." Ell? Only I call her Ell. They look at each other like they've known each other for forever. Ok, weird. "Ok, sorry Lillian. Please continue" She says. But before I can continue the bell rings. Saved by the bell. "Well, looks like Lillian's off the hook. Until next time." Ella says. "Oh, Will, want me to take you to your next class?" she adds.
"Umm, sure, I have English next..."
Ella claps, "What a coincidence, so do I! I will meet you at the car after school Lillian" she calls back as she winks at me and slips her arm in between Will's. I watch them walk away. Now alone in the cafeteria, I let out a sigh of relief
