Present

It was three am in the morning, both ends of the street were blocked by barriers and police mobiles. There was a crowd of spectators gathered at the ends, while the area was drowned in the sound of ambulances, and red and blue lights shinning from the top of each police mobile parked in that lane.

Despite their utmost effort, it wasn't clear to the people as to what was going on in the house number 7 located on the ittehad lane in the posh area of  Defence, Karachi - the metropolitan city of Pakistan.

By the number of police vans, and the screeching sounds of ambulance reaching the location it could be said that a crime had taken place, yet nothing could be confirmed as the police officers were tight lipped about what was going on.

Few of the media channels that had been tipped about the grand incident had reached the vicinity of the crime scene, but were unsuccessfully trying to get behind the barriers, all the while engaging a couple of police men that were stationed at the end of the street.

"Sir, can you update us about what has happened in the house? Why are these ambulances here?" one reporter thrust the mic into one of the police officers' face, only to meet a severe frown pulling the eyebrows together and a disgruntled No.

"Some people are saying that a murder has happened in the house. Is it true? Again asked the report.

"Ma'am, at this point we can't confirm anything and will appreciate some cooperation from your end through patience, rather than guessing and reporting wrong news all over media" Came a calm response from an officer standing nearby, who left shortly towards a small gathering of cops gathered nearby the house.

The scene of chaos soon ascended as a team of police officers and ambulance staff came out of the house carrying, what can be easily identified as bodies packed in black plastic bags on four stretchers. A plethora of questions were being thrown to concerned authority by media reports and the general public flagging the both ends of the street.

"Sir, can you please tell who these people were?"

"Has the murderer been arrested?"

"How these murder happens?"

Questions like these and more were ringing one after the other, as the stretchers were being wheeled down on one end of the street with a chain of police officers circling the bodies, while shouting at the crowd to move out of the way and pushing back overzealous reports.
