The coding division of Spectrum Eight is pleased to announce the opening of its brand new ASK BOX. Members of Spectrum, as well as the general public, are invited to submit questions and queries of all sorts so that we'll have something to do during our donut breaks - namely, answer them.

NOTE: This ask box isn't actually officially sanctioned by LB (or anybody else for that matter). Ruby and Agent Blacker set this up because they were bored. Froghorn thinks it's a super bad idea, and to be honest it probably really is. So. Please don't let LB know this is running; she'll kill us if she finds out we're answering questions for anybody that asks. Or if she finds out the general public know about Spectrum. Or. Basically everything about this entire setup.

There are a lot of risks associated with this 'Ask Box' idea of ours. We hope you fully appreciate the danger we're putting ourselves in by running it. Thank you.

RULES

This is the copy (sort of) of an askblog for characters from the Ruby Redfort series by Lauren Child. Basically, the blog itself (along with the actual place where you can submit asks) is on Tumblr, at www.ask-spectrum-coding.tumblr.com. All the asks I answer over there I will also post here.

and here are some general rules, also copied from the blog:

• No inappropriate asks! This includes anything NSFW (this is a kid's series, come on! no nudity, etc), and I'm gonna try to stay clear of swearing as well (for now at least).

• I'm also going to be sticking to canon relationships as far as this blog goes. So basically, no shipping at all unless it's a thing that actually happens in the books. I'm keeping everything gen here, so nobody gets angry.

• I'm also trying to keep things accurate to the time period the books were set in (around the 1970s). Obviously there's going to be some anachronisms because of the style of the blog, but this is just a heads-up - there's probably not going to be many iPads floating around!

• I don't mind M!As, but try not to do too many of them. Also, try and keep them realistic! e.g., things like 'you're trapped in LB's office for four asks' is fine but 'everybody in the room is a cat for three asks' probably isn't going to happen.

• Okay, now that we're done with the negativity - feel free to ask the squad pretty much anything else, be that personal or work-related or otherwise!

• Although the main crew (Ruby, Blacker and Froghorn) are going to be the main people replying, some other characters/members of Spectrum may drop in from time to time.

• Have fun interacting with the characters - on anon or otherwise! They can't wait to hear from you!

Also! All events depicted are set post-Blink And You Die. So there might be spoilers for that last book.
