Wade looked at Peter. His eyes were begging him to stay, so he did. He picked Peter back up again and sat on the bed. Once he was comfortable, he laid Peter on his lap.

They stayed like that for a bit. Before Stephen walked in.

"Kid, your dad... and... I..." His voice was trailing off as he realized how they were positioned.

"Mr. Doctor Strange? Your kid, that's not technically your kid since you haven't married Mr. Tin Man, but whatever. He won't let go of me."

Stephen nodded before yelling for Steve.

Steve walked into the room. "What's up?" Stephen pointed over to the two boys. "Oh. What happened?"

"We were on the elevator and Black Widow stepped on. It was really awkward considering the only time I met Natasha was a while ago and I only met Peter that day, but whatever. Widow stepped out on the sixteenth floor and Peter kinda just broke down? I dunno what it was but he just clung onto me like a child. I found it like really adorable but still. And now he won't let go of me even though we have a project to work on." Wade explained, trying not to give too many details about how he knew Natasha.

"The sixteenth floor... Dammit." Steve groaned.

"Language..." Wade mumbled.

"He gets panic attacks when he sees that floor. He was in an accident and that was the last floor he saw before the... accident." Steve didn't want to say explosion since if Wade knew it was an explosion, he would've thought he would've been dead by now.

"Oh. That makes sense. But is there anyway we can get him to let go of my shirt? We have a project to do and I really don't want to fail twelfth grade for the third time."

"Yeah, uh. Hold on. Hey, FRIDAY?"

"Yes, Captain Rogers?"

"Is Bucky here?"

"No, sir. He went out with Mrs. Romanoff."

"What about Loki?"

"He is back on Asgard with Mr. Thor, sir."

"And Tony?"

"He is in the lounge, waiting for Doctor Strange and getting impatient."

Stephen tried to hide his eye roll. Tony always got impatient.

"Can you tell him to come here? Tell him it's about Peter."

It was quiet for a bit.

"Mr. Stark is on is way."

"Thanks, FRIDAY."

Tony walked down the hall and stood next to Stephen.

"I'm here."

"Can you help Peter? He had a panic attack." Steve said quietly. "The sixteenth floor."

Tony nodded and walked into his room. He saw Wade just holding him.

"Hi, Mr. Tin Man!" Wade exclaimed quietly.

"Hi?"

"Why won't your son let go? Aren't panic attacks when he can't breathe?"

"Pete... well, he isn't like that. He may feel like he can't breathe but that's until someone is holding him. He likes clinging onto that person, normally, for the rest of the day. It's usually Loki or Barnes who calms him down, since he spends the most time with them. But when they're not around, he clings onto whoever he finds."

"So, when he has a panic attack he's like a little baby! That's so cute! I mean, it's not but Baby Peter would be so cute!"

"Can you..." Tony reached his arms out so he could take Peter.

Wade tried prying him off of him but it wouldn't work.

"Hate to say this, but I don't think he's gonna let go anytime soon."

"So, I'm in charge of Baby Peter?" Wade's eyes sparkled. Like, actually sparkled.

"I guess. I mean, until Barnes or Loki get back, he'll probably cling onto one of them when they get back. He does that."

"And I'm guessing that means we can't work on our project today." Wade pouted. But then he remembered he didn't like school so his mood brightened.

"Yeah. I have to go. But, Steve is here. So are the twins, Clint, Bruce, Sam and Vision. And I think Scott is coming over soon."

"Right. 'Kay!"

"Sorry, I forgot to ask, what's your name?"

"Wade Wilson!"

"Wade Wilson..." Tony mumbled under his breath. "Right. Good luck." He stood up. He didn't know where he had heard that name before but he knew it wasn't necessarily a bad thing that he didn't remember.

Tony and Stephen left after that.

Wade was left with Peter, who fell asleep in his arms.

"Do you think he'll like this one?" Bucky pointed at a ring on display.

"I'm sure whichever ring you pick, he'll love it. Just go with what you think he'll love." Natasha replied. That had been to at least three different jewelers but Bucky couldn't find an engagement ring that Steve would love in any of them.

Natasha walked around a bit. She saw a ring. "Hey, James." She called him.

Bucky walked over to her. She pointed at a ring. "What about that one?"

Bucky examined it. He asked the owner if he could see it, to try it on.

"What do you think Peter'll say?" Bucky asked her as he kept examining it.

"Call him."

Bucky pulled out his phone and called Peter.

"Hello, Mr. Bucky Barnes." A voice said once the line picked up.

"Uh.. Who's this?"

"I'm Wade."

"Where's Peter?"

"Asleep."

"What? He never sleeps at 6 pm."

"Yeah, well. The sixteenth floor made him."

"The sixteenth floor? What was he doing there?"

"We just passed it on the elevator and he panicked. It was Mrs. Black Widow's fault."

Bucky glared at Natasha. "Well, if he wakes up and I'm still not there can you tell him to call me? If he's responsive, of course."

"Sure, Mr. Bucky 'Winter Soldier' Barnes!"

Bucky didn't want to question anymore. "Bye." He hung up. "You made him pass the sixteenth floor?"

"Oh, fuck. I had to drop off some paperwork. I must've forgotten Peter was on the elevator. Is he okay?"

"This Wade dude, the one who picked up Pete's phone said he's sleeping, so I mean..."

"Yeah. I'm sorry. I forgot."

"It's fine." Bucky groaned. "He even knew I was the Winter Soldier."

"What? Really?"

"Yeah. But whatever. Let's buy the ring and we'll get Pete's opinion later."

"Yeah."
