The malice; the seed of guilt that flowered inside her, like vines; wrapped around the girl's heart.
it was never ending.
Alicia was suffocated; asphyxiated by the burning emotions.
"I-I," it was hard, brutal to utter words; for she could not think of any. "I want you to be happy, Silas. Perhaps," Alicia cut again, her gaze; hard on the immortal man, now blurred with tears.
"It's not with me," she whispered, lithe fingers, once warm and caring— now cold, placid even.
"You have to leave me."
Atonement seemed out of reach— the fall of her gaze; ridden with anguish. The hues of blue, colored with adulation, now struggled; fought. Alicia stood; staggering, wobbly— anchored steps towards their shared mahogany door.
The door of many memories; their first kiss, their first argument.
Their first spill of 'I love yous.'
"You're just going to leave me?" His vociferation, brittle, just like fine jade; cracked. "Again?" The rose-haired girl dared not look at her albino lover, the pragmatic beating of her heart; dull.
"Silas, I can't be with you— You wish to hide this; corner this," Alicia licked dry, trembling lips. "But," she felt fervent tears stream down her scarlet cheeks; contorted in anguish. "I-I can't. I can't forget this impending shadow, that I grow older as the days pass— and you do not."
She heard steps; determined and incandescent. A familiar hand grasped her dainty arm; weak, limp. Though it was gentle, the clenched anger, raged inside him.
"You think I wanted this?" Silas barked venomously, azure eyes pooled with an oceanic rage; the sea of his eyes, whirling.
"I wanted to be this way? I told you that I would force a bounty hunter to slay me, if it meant lying beside you— six feet under." Silas began, gaze glued on hers.
"Does that signify anything to you? All I said; all I wish for us— All I want with you, to start a family, to be together; to grow old."A pitiful sob racked her throat, guttural and vulnerable. Alicia ripped her arm from his grasp, a hiccuping heave to her chest.
"You think I don't want that? To one day see our children running around? To see their children?" Alicia trembled, hands clenched to tiny white fists. "I want this as much as you do. But I can't deny the future, Silas. We can't keep this in a limbo!" She turned on her heel; quick to turn the bronze door knob— until caged by two muscular arms.
"Please." Silas begged, no; pleaded. "Let's not talk about this anymore." Alicia shut her eyes stubbornly, refusing to meet his eye. Salty tears fell on her lips, like a waterfall, up from above.
It was Silas, his misery raw, untouched; hopeless tears streaming onto her face.
"I love you more than you can imagine."
Her hand stroke the soft skin of his cheek; impeccable and ever so bewitching. Alicia was conflicted, clouded by guilt, by sorrow. "I do— I love you, my moon and stars." Roseate buds, damp with shed tears pressed on his cheek; kissing away the stains of despondency.
"Then don't," the immortal whispered softly, dark beryl clouded with fear, perhaps the fear of loneliness, Alicia could not determine. "Don't leave me."
The carved sculpture of the gods, resembled her face; forlorn, beautiful, and lifeless. The previous glimmer of hope was lost; non existential. Alicia bare no words, her hand falling limp to her side; blandly pushing past the albino creature.
The door shut benevolently, the only sound emitted from the apartment was the distant chime of the cuckoo clock.
It was only five in the afternoon.
