Honking horns and bright lights is what kept Hayden Fitzgerald awake tonight. She was sat on her balcony, a blanket curled around her so that the only thing that wasn't covered was her neck and face. She was in intense thought, her fists were gripping the blanket so tightly, she didn't even realize it.
What kept her awakethat night was none other than Timothée Chalamet. Most of her sleepless nights were because of him, actually. For some reason, she couldn't get him off her mind.
She was listing the pros and cons of getting back into a relationship with hime again. The pros were she would have something back that she had wanted since she was eighteen, and she wouldn't feel so lonely in this big world. Yes, she had Briar and Blaine, but it just wasn't the same. Neither of them, no one actually, could fill the spot that Timothée had once filled.
A con of starting her relationship with him again would be if he broke her heart again like he did before. That was the worst pain she had ever gone through. The person she thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with just suddenly decided he didn't want to anymore. She had been so careful to guard herself since then, because she would rather die than feel that pain again.
The thing that she was most scared of, though, was never feeling the way she felt with Timothée with someone else. He had made her feel so happy, so safe, so cared for. All of her relationships since then had never measured up to that. No one could ever make her feel the way Timothée did and still does, and she was going to have to deal with taht for the rest of her life.
