Someone knocks at the door. Its not a normal knock, its more like someone is

running up against it. The glass window on it shatters. A few girls scream.

Hands reach through. More than one or two. Closer to five. They are dirty and

gross looking. They don't seem like they are trying to grab at the handle. Thank

heavens for strong doors. Almost everyone is on their phones. An arm hits the

door handle. What the heck? The door is locked but the handle is moving. It

bursts open and six people come in. They look gross and bloody with gashes

everywhere. Everyone screams. The people get a target and slowly drag themselves

toward them. One comes after me. I reach around behind me without taking my eyes

off the creature, and find a yard stick. I whack it in the head as hard as I

can. It stumbles and I run out of the room. They are filling the halls. I run to

the exit as fast as humanly possible. Outside is worse than inside! There are at

least fifty of the deranged people. The SWAT team has guns and are shooting the

people. I make a run for my car. My foot catches on a curb. Ah fudge. I fall,

bracing myself. I turn around to three of the creatures within a foot of me. I

scream just as a knife goes through all of their heads at once. As they crumble,

my savior is standing behind them in a black jacket. His hair is darker than- I

don't know, darker than anything I can think of. He grabs my hand and pulls me

up. "Dude! You're ninja!" I blurt out. The corner of his mouth twitches up a

little. I quickly add "Uh, thanks." as grateful as possible in a situation like

this. He nods and pulls me along with him. Towards the school. "What's going

on?" I ask him. "I don't know." He replies. He holds a small blade about six

inches long. "Where'd you get that?" I ask him, curious. He holds up the knife

in question. I nod with a smug look. He smirks. "Do you know what those things

are?" He shakes his head. "I call them corpses." "Why? They

aren't dead." He gives me a challenging look. "What?" I say automatically. "They

look pretty dead to me." He looks forward, stepping over a body. "But they are

up and moving. Dead things don't move." He pulls himself up a wall, giving me a

hand. I look past into the field. The ground it littered with scared kids and

"corpses." I see a corpse below us bite a brunette on the arm. She screams and

soon faints from blood loss. "Oh gosh." I mutter, at a loss from any other

words. I look at the boy who rescued me. He gives me a grimace and points back

to the girl. She stands up a blank look in her eyes. They are clouded and she is

walking weird. Dragging her feet. Now she is going for one of the other

students. Oh my gosh. She just bit him! He goes through exactly what she just

did. "It's like a virus." I whisper to myself. The boy grabs my arm. "Ah!" I

scream. I didn't realize how close I was to falling off the edge. I'm breathing

heavily. He helps me regain my balance and we walk across the wall until we

reach the school. "Are you ready?" He asks me. I nod and we both jump off the

wall. We run as fast as we can to the doors. I pull at the handle. Locked.

We start knocking as hard as humanly capable.

No answer.

I put my back to the door while the guy keeps pounding. The corpses are getting

closer.
