the bell had just rung for lunch, daehwi smiled at me before holding his hand out for me to grab.

"y/n, let's go!" daehwi said, gladly i held onto his hand and proceeded to follow him to the cafeteria. he was quite cheerful today, it was nice.

"daehwi," daehwi smiled as he looked at me confused, his head slightly tilted.

"thank you." a genuine smile was plastered on my face.

i was genuinely so happy, for the first time. i had never experienced what it was like to have a friend. someone who can brighten my day up and make smiled because of their presence.

it was such a wonderful feeling.
