In the evening, oberoi's with singhania's & Vikram entered the Singhania mansion as soon as they entered the mansion they were greeted with the sound of music. And Shivaye couldn't help but think why this house was always bustling with music, a house helper escorted them to the hall where an elegant lady was sitting with Anika, Anika was sitting just beside the lady, making a wronged face as she complained about something to the lady & Shivaye couldn't help but think she looked really cute like this the lady was about to say something to Anika when the house help announced their presence. All of them stared at them & Shivaye suddenly felt really uncomfortable under their scrunching gazes. The lady was first one to stand up & greet them

"Oh, you must be the oberoi's & Singhania's & Mr Rana of course Anika's dad. I'm Avantika Sekhawat, Swayam's mother, I'm really sorry about my husband's absence but he had an important meeting to attend." She spoke polietly
" it's fine, Mrs Sekhawat, we understand" Vikram replied to her an understanding smile gracing his features
" why are you all standing, come sit na" This time Anika spoke a perfectly friendly smile gracing her face as she asked them to sit & sat again beside her going to be mother-in-law.
They were about to speak again when, the sound of music suddenly came again this time with someone melodious voice singing along.
" so, where is Swayam??" Rey asked to break the ice
" You know he was injured a few days ago, so he is resting"
"Ohk" he didn't know what else to say
" where is Ansh" Dadi asked hope glinting in her eyes, few days ago she wouldn't have been this curious about the boy but knowing he is her Shivaye's son, she can't help but want to see her grandson
" with his dad," came Anika's automatic answer, she has became habitual of referring to Swayam as Ansh's dad. She wasn't aware how her this few words broke each & every oberoi's heart. But they were unaware that their heart was about to be more broken.
" he is so attached to Swayam, won't leave him for a second" Avantika spoke fondly breaking oberoi's already broken heart
" well, I wanted to meet my grandson actually" Vikram spoke wistfully
"First let's discuss about the wedding & engagement preparation, than we will call those kids otherwise they won't let us talk" Avantika spoke softly smiling lightly as they started discussing the venues, dresses, functions & all. Anika was mostly silent during all the discussion, nodding here & there but was rather busy with her phone.
"Anika beta, it's yours engagement, why are you not putting your choices forward" Pinky asked looking at Anika who was busy with her phone thinking Anika still has feelings about Shivaye so she isnt participating in this discussion
" well, mom choices are best & I'm not good with all this types of discussion I get confused so I'm just sitting here on mom's instance as she chose what she loves cause I know I'll love them even if she doesn't insist on showing it to me before deciding " Anika spoke nonchalantly as she kept on starring at her phone while pinky was starring at her shocked it took Anika month's to call her mom after her marriage with Shivaye & here she was calling Avantika mom even when she isn't married to Swayam yet. After some more time their discussion was over & Anika asked the servants to serve all of them snacks & call the gang too in the living room to eat it. As they have been hidding in Swayam's room the whole time doing God know's what.
After sometime many snacks like just fried, Hot samosas, pakodi's, with green chatni & namkeen with tea, the preferences of their tea has already been asked & in accordance of that various types of tea were brought in the living room.
The gangs entrance was declared with the loud chattering as they known their presence known, Ansh was walking while holding Swayam's one hand while Kashi was holding his other hand, both kids were walking extremely slow & they looked at Swayam face after each step they took for any visible signs of pain on his face. The gang was smiling at the kids antics behind them walking leisurely, Manik, Mike, Harry & Rv had spotted the samosas & pakodas so their eyes lit up & the girls shook their head mumbling boys & their love for food.
Anika's eyes sparkled with happiness watching the innocence of the kids, they were totally unaware of the fact that swayam could hide his pain easily to reassure them.
"Ansh, Kashi come fast, see I made something really special for you two" Anika told them happily
The two looked at Swayam as he nodded at them, they ran towards Anika & Avantika
" Dadi sa" both Ansh & kashika yelled as they kissed Avantika's cheeks than come & sat beside Anika waiting for their treats. As she placed brownies & dry fruit shake in front of them. The two kids were happy with their food & started eating it happily while Anika looked at her best friend's & brother's looking at the Samosas & pakodas without blinking shaking her head at their antics, she concentrated back on Swayam who took a seat beside Avantika.
"Mom, Samjhao na aapne bete ko doctor ne aaj bulaya h, toh hum aaj hi jayenge"
" Mom meeting h uss time, bohot important client se"
"Mom meeting se zyada health important h, mom bol dijiye apne bete se agar yeh aaj hospital nhi gye na, mein inse baat nhi krungi" she stated huffing angrily
" Swayam, Anika is right health is more important & tumhari engagement hai, go I'll handle this meeting"
"Ohk, mom"
" let's go then" Anika spoke happily
"Time h"
"Jaane mein bhi, time lagega shayad, mom I've mailed the details to you."
" but samosas"
"Voh kahi nhi ja rhe, aakr Kha lena"
But by Swayam's look it was clear he won't get a single samosa cause his friends would have already eaten it all, all this while Avantika & aniyam were whispering to each other,making the oberoi's feel really sour inside, even a strong burning smell could have been smelt there.
Anika got up, apologized to the guests & took her leave with a grumbling Swayam.
" your son & going to be daughter-in-law, looks really in love, Mrs Sekhawat" complemented Mrs Singhania unknowingly, tearing open her daughter & Shivaye's wounds again.
"Yes, they are I'm blessed to have Anika in my life, she cares so much about the family & I got such a sweet grandson,all my dreams are complete, you know little Tanish was so good looking & cute when he was born & my son so scared to even hold him, that was really a comical scene & when he learnt how to properly hold his son, he won't leave him for even one moment, even Ansh will start crying if Swayam wasn't near by" Avantika said reminiscing fond memories totally unaware of the fact her this statement was like pouring conc acid on the oberoi's heart.
