Hey guys, welcome to the @RoundRobinBookClub
We seek to do things a little differently here. I'm part of a couple of book clubs that I *love* but the biggest issue I have with book clubs, in general, is that authors will get a lot of feedback on the first few chapters, but not as many critiques on later ones or the story in general. I tried to think of some solutions to this, and I'm hoping that Round Robin helps with the issue.
So, how does it work? Well, each member will have their book listed in a random number generator, I'll use that to select a book for the month, and then the members can focus on reading 5 chapters a month of the story, and we'll have a separate page each month that we can ask questions that will help the author. Favorite character? Disliked character? Favorite scene? Disliked scene? Items like these can help us all grow as writers.
Now, in the groups I'm in they also have 'extra' activities or challenges. How those will work in this group is if you decide to do the challenges and complete them, you will get an extra entry per challenge into the next month's generation. This means that if you do one extra challenge, your book has two tickets in the system and increases your odds of being chosen. The more challenges you complete, the more tickets you earn.
Also, for every five members, we'll have a new circle, so that each group does not get too big and multiple stories can be in circulation as the members grow.
Aside from the book of the month, the extra challenges, and discussions of such, we'll also have writing tips I've harvested from various Youtube channels and websites over the years. We'll cover everything from writing, editing, publishing and even some marketing! All of this so we can all grow and learn together as we all work on the path to being established authors.
