When coach walked into his office, I turned to Scott and debated what to do. "We can't. . . We need to get to her before it's too late." My voice broke at the end.

"Stiles," he sighed putting his hand on my shoulder. "I'll text Derek and ask him to start looking while we are at practice. Right after, we will meet up with him and help him look."

"I can't. . . I can't sit through practice knowing we have our first lead since she's been missing, unable to do anything about it." I stuttered. Scott looked at me with hesitant eyes before looking over his shoulder at coach.

"Go."

"What?"

"Both of you, go. I'll cover for you. Go look for her and I'll meet you after practice. "

"Thanks, Scott."

I ran out of the locker room with Isaac at my heals as we headed straight towards my jeep. We jumped in and I pulled out of the parking lot, going way over the speed limit.

"Tell me when we get to where you got her scent this morning," I instructed to Isaac as we pulled out of the parking lot.

We drove a little ways with the windows down before he yelled at me to stop. I pulled over and watched as his eyebrows scrunched together in confusion.

"What is it?" I asked, getting nervous.

"I got her scent, but. . ."

"But what?" I insisted.

"It's not in the same place as it was this morning. She must be moving," he shrugged.

"How far away are we from when you first noticed her scent?"

"Not that far," he said as he pointed at a clearing barely half a mile down the road from where we were now. We gave each other knowing looks before jumping out of the jeep.

I followed closely behind as Isaac followed the trail. The further we got from the road, the more I could feel my anxiety building.

"Can you try to calm down?" Isaac asked suddenly. "It's hard to keep her scent when I keep getting a strong wiff of anxiety coming from you."

"I'm sorry," I said harshly and bitterly. "I'm just worried we'll find her too late."

Isaac stopped and turned towards me. "You should tell her."

"Tell her what?" I asked even though I knew what he was talking about. You can't hide anything from werewolves.

"The fact that you're in love with her. She deserves to know."

I opened my mouth to respond, but closed it when I couldn't think of what to say. I just nodded.

"And besides, she feels the same way," he added before walking away.

"Wait, what?" I stared at him as he sent me a wink from over his shoulder. "She likes me?" I asked once I had caught up to him.

"It's obvious," Isaac laughed. "Well to werewolves it's obvious."

He stopped laughing and picked up his pace. "What is it?" I asked as I ran after him. He leaned down and picked up a leaf.

"Is that. . ." I didn't finish my sentence. I didn't have to.

"Blood," Isaac said softly. "Y/N's blood."

We had been looking for two hours and I was starting to get discouraged. Isaac held the leaf with Y/N's blood in his hand, every once in a while lifting it back up to his nose.

I bit my lip as I felt completely and utterly useless. I couldn't find her or help her the way Scott, Derek, and Isaac could. All I could do was pray that we weren't too late.

"Did you hear that?" Isaac asked.

"Hear what?" I mumbled. Suddenly there was the sound of leaves rustling.

"That." Isaac said looking at me with wide eye. We turned and ran towards the noise. I gasped and fell to the ground when we rounded a tree and I bumped into someone.

I looked up to see who it was, but my heart sank when I noticed it was Scott and not Y/N.

"Any luck?" He asked as he helped me stand up.

"No," I said wiping the dirt off my pants.

"We did find this," Isaac said holding out the leaf. I looked down at the blood, my heart sinking lower.

"It's fresh," Scott said taking it from Isaac. "Which means she shouldn't be too far away."

"We found that two hours ago," I mumbled angrily before walking away.

"Stiles," Scott said as he easily caught up to me. "We're going to find her."

"No," I said through gritted teeth as I quickly turned towards him. "We are not going to find him. You are. Or Isaac. Or Derek. Not me. You guys. I'm just walking around in the woods like an idiot hoping to find her."

"Stiles," he sighed.

"Don't."

I kept walking, scanning my eyes back and forth. We looked for about another twenty-five minutes before I caught a glimpse of something.

I walked towards the figure and my heart stopped. "Y/N," I gasped out as I started to run towards her.

I had to stifle a sob as I knelt in front of a dirty and unconscious Y/N. "Scott!" I yelled as I pulled her into my chest.

"Scott! Isaac!" My heart was jumping into my throat as I held Y/N tightly to my chest. "I. . . I found her! She's over here!" I yelled with my voice breaking.

"I can't believe I found you," I mumbled as I wiped some mud from her face.

I looked down at Y/N, tears streaming down my cheeks as I heard two sets of footsteps running towards me.

"Y/N," Isaac gasped.

Scott knelt in front of Y/N and I as I tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, my hand lingering on her neck. My eyes widened when I noticed something that I shouldn't have.

"Scott," I said, my voice getting caught in my throat. "I can't get a heartbeat."

His eyes widened as he looked down at Y/N in my arms. I ran my hand through her hair, begging for her to wake up.

"Do it," I said slowly looking up from Y/N's body with tears streaming down my cheeks.

"Do what?" He asked, hesitantly.

"Bite her."
