Ch 9 Betrayal.

"Gracie Carteri, is that really you, Omg! You've changed so much," what the hell was he doing here? "What you doing here Mr Nash?" He looks a little dumbstruck, he's in his fifties, he's at a club you do the maths hmmm.

"Oh, It's my wife's birthday, she fancied a club tonight, It's abit rowdy in here."

I nodded in response, something felt off about this whole thing, I smiled walking back to the dance floor, away from him

"Listen to me Gracie, he pulls me back turning me to face him, "something is odd here, be on your guard" oh for god sake not you too, I need another drink I look down but see my glass is still full, weird could have sworn I already drank that one.

As if by chance my all time favourite came on, Dark horse by katy perry, this song suited my mood right now, they were playing a dangerous game with me, so you wanna play with magic do you, I'll be coming at you like a dark horse tonight.

I was getting pissed off right now but the best part about this song was the rap bit it had my moods down to a t tonight....

Why they doing this to me? A hand grabs me, I turn round to see Joe looking at me suspiciously "Come with me!" She drags me off to the loo, she turns on the tap.

"What the hell is going on? Why is half of the peace keepers here? I've been edgy since I walked inside," Oh that's what there called, I chuckled inwardly.

"I have no idea, I came here, I needed a drink, next minute Leighton tells me the head bartender is a demon, to be careful, faces are popping up all over the place, now I'm pissed."

She rolls her eyes at me, "Leighton must think your in some kind of danger, that's why he's called in reinforcement."

I was in guffaws of laughter but Inside I was shaking, "Danger? I just came for a drink!" She hugged me.

"He must have heard his thoughts, It's ok don't worry you got the finest amoungst you, but why didn't I get the memo," I shook my head.

"This is ridiculous, so what, I can't come out now, the lights in the walls started fizzling "Gracie calm down baby girl, I'm right here," I instantly relaxed, "Sorry," she smiled.

"Don't be, I would probably feel the same way as you do," I slipped down the wall, "Joe what have I got myself into," someone banged on the door, "Piss off!" It went silent that was the first time I heard Joe swear, I cackled.

"You know what, I reckon we should go out there enjoy out night and sod them all," I liked Joe's idea alot.

We walked out grabbing two more drinks then me and Joe headed onto the dance floor, the lads had gone but I knew where they were, they had joined the others on the balcony.

As the crowds opened out for us we danced our ass off, they began watching us dance, they were mesmerised by us clapping I saw Leighton walking towards me still grinning.

"Damn Taylor was right about you, you really are an amazing dancer, your flipping mesmerizing baby," I giggled.

"You wanna dance?" He nodded, "Hell yeah," omg he was good, his body hard against me, his hands cupping my face his lips touching mine, his whole body was toxicating me, pulling me in.

I wanted him right there and then, but no I had to concentrate not let my head get involved.

"Why's half the peace keeper's here tonight?" he was taken back by my obvious observation, "Just out of precaution baby, I can't let anything happen to you again, besides they don't get out much so I'm sure their welcomed by the distraction of watching my amazing gf dance" I nodded.

"Ok, but why?" Leighton kissed me, ahhhhh, "Stop trying to distract me, he giggled, "I'm serious I asked you a question! Now I want an answer" he looked down at our fingers entwined.

"The bartender just said something that was a little off, so I wanted to take precaution."

"What the hell, that ain't really an answer is it, what did he say?" He looked a little sad when he next looked at me, "He said you were the one!" I must of looked puzzled, "Baby It's ok your safe," I glared at him, "oh shut up already, your chatting like I'm some breakable doll or something," I stormed away from him grabbing Joe, "We are leaving," she nodded "Pierre get the car babe" we left.

"Where we going?" I didn't know where to go, "You want to come stay at ours tonight Gracie?" Pierre cautiously asked, I nodded, "Yeah take me to yours.

"You gonna be warm enough?" I nodded "Yeah thanks, I'll be fine go bed,"

Joe nodded "I love you Gracie, " I smiled "I love you too Joe," she turned the light out, leaving me to star at the ceiling, I must have dozed of counting the bubbles on the ceiling.

Someone was shaking me calling my name, "Gracie, Gracie wake up! Wake up! I jumped up to find Joe shaking me.

"Ok ok, is it time to get up?" She had tears in her eyes "No Gracie It's Leighton, he's been hurt, he's in hospital It's serious."

I screamed, at the top of my voice "Noooooo, this is all my fault, I should never have left him," she shook me again.

"We need to go now, Pierre is waiting in the car, I head out to the car and get in, my head screaming at me.

Oh god please, let him be ok please, I can't lose him, if you can hear me Leighton I'm coming.
