Donghyuck wanted to crawl into a hole and die.
He was talking to no one and didn't want to talk as well. But because of that, he felt like he stood out like a sore thumb.
The brown-haired boy just clenched his hands tight and looked down towards his shoes. Occasionally, he would look up a bit to observe the people in the room, remembering his job.
Could anti-social people like him really be things such as agents?
His eyes caught a group of girls taking up the waiting room couch, all talking and squealing like crazy. They looked rather unprofessional, but what could Donghyuck say?
He was the one wearing messily ripped jeans in a room filled with suits.
"Next!"
A door opened and a disappointed girl walked out, on the verge of tears. She walked back over to the couch with the other girls and Donghyuck was shocked when the other girls didn't bother to comfort her.
They simply grinned in excitement and kept their eyes on the interview room door.
Donghyuck guessed that everyone in this room were enemies no matter what. It was a job war, afterall.
"Lee Haechan!"
Donghyuck didn't care to listen and he just observed and waited for the next person to go---
Oh shit.
That's his name!
Donghyuck quickly stood up and almost tripped on the carpet on his way to the interview room.
Great job, me.
First, you forget your code name and then you forget how to walk like a normal human being.
What a grace.
The man who had called him held the door for him. He shyly walked inside and sat down as the man shut the door.
"Lee Haechan I assume?" He sat across from Donghyuck, swiveling authoratively around on his chair.
"Y-yes sir..." Donghyuck wanted to smack himself for sounding less confident than he'd wanted.
"I'm Johnny Seo. A manager of the Executive Board," the man smiled and held out a hand. "Nice to meet you."
"..oh... nice to meet you," Donghyuck felt a little more comfortable with his greeting and smiled.
Johnny gave his hand a strangely firm squeeze and brushed his thumb on the back of Donghyuck's hand.
Donghyuck all of a sudden got uncomfortable again.
"You've got soft hands..." Johnny smiled in a way that was laced with flirtation.
Donghyuck didn't know if it was the guy or just his situation that made him feel awkward. Whatever it was, he was not liking it.
The brown-haired boy brushed his thoughts of bending Johnny's fingers into painful positions away as the older picked up a file and looked back at him again.
"I see you're a Seoul Instituite of Elite Academics graduate," Johnny folded his hands. "That's an impressive private school. Is your family in the upper class?"
"Oh, no. We're just well off..." Donghyuck cursed himself for sounding nervous. "I got in by high achievements..."
"I see..." Johnny scribbled something the file Donghyuck couldn't see. "Oh, by the way, Mr. Lee would be in here interviewing you himself, but he's on break. Lucky you."
