Carrie always found basements and attics cool, she never had one and always lived her fantasy by visiting her friends houses who had them, and by far, Deena's basement was the coolest one. Specially with the wall of murders that Josh built.

As he was taking down some news cutout from the wall, Carrie kept reading each piece of paper that was hang on the wall. Her eyes started wandering about the camp massacre of 1978, being drawn to it as if she was made of metal and the wall was a huge magnet.

SHADYSIDER MAKES IT OUT ALIVE!

MASSACRE ON CAMP NIGHTWING!

A SUMMER OF HORROR!

Carrie couldn't help but stare at those cut down articles with such an intensity she could feel her eyes orbit leaving out her face. Blinking a couple times, she walked away from the board and sat down between Kate and Sam at the same time Josh slammed a paper on the coffee table.

"This is Ruby Lane." Josh explained, Simon quickly turned around the article and looked at the photo. "The girl who attacked you."

"Holy shit!"

"She sang as she murdered her boyfriend, her friends, then she killed herself. Slashed her wrists."

"Jesus. Yeah, why didn't I see this on the news?" Kate asked Josh, perfect dark eyebrows furrowing at him while her hands couldn't stop fidgeting on the wooden table.

"Because it happened thirty years ago." They all looked at Josh, all expressions showing the same feeling, what the fuck was happening? "1965."

Josh walked to the board on the wall and started taking off some papers, all from different sections. Carrie grabbed the Ruby Lane article.

"You're right As, she is hot." Carrie spoke to the blond who was sitting in front of her, still, her sight didn't met his. "Or was, I don't know."

Josh quickly kneeled down on the edge of the coffee table, spreading all the papers on it. "Ruby is one of Shadyside's killers, just like Skull Mask... I mean, Ryan Torres."

Carrie turned around and gave Sam a look, fear was written all over her pale face. She acknowledge Carrie and gave her a tight smile.

"Look, 1978. Sixteen years ago. Masked psycho murders kids at..."

"Camp Nightwing." Kate interrupted Josh. Carrie felt chills travelling down her spine as she looked at Kate. "Yeah, my mom's sister was there. It screwed my family up for a long time. Yours the same, right Carrie?"

She looked at Kate while furrowing her eyebrows. "My what?"

"1950, Harry Rooker..." Kate slowly slid the paper to her left as Josh kept talking, giving it to the pink haired girl.

Carrie started reading the article in silence, words passing by until she reached the victims list, written from A to Z, as if they were only that, a bunch of names in a list.

Her eyes going to the bottom, looking for her last name's first letter, and all the color of her face drained when she finally found it.

Walsh, T. C.

That's what Carrie saw. Not even a full name, only two initials, which where casually the same as hers.

She stayed there, reading that name again and again until it stopped making sense for her, trying to recognize it and give it a face, but she couldn't.

She never even met her whole family, it was only her and her parents, and since she was fifteen, Nick Goode kinda joined in too as he and her dad formed a tight friendship.

"Why do we have the same last name?" Carrie interrupted Josh, asking everyone and to no one at the same time "Here it says it clearly, Walsh and the letters T and C, also my initials..."

"His name is Thomas, he was Joan's best friend." Kate told Carrie. "My mom's sister."

"I don't have a Thomas in my family?"

"How are you so sure he is from your family?" Deena asked Carrie, words coming out a little bit harsh. Well, everything sounded harsh to Carrie since she saw Ryan Torres chasing Sam and Deena.

"Because there's literally no other Walsh besides...?" Her voice shutting down when she saw Sam getting up and running from the basement, Deena quickly followed her, leaving the four teenagers speechless, except for Josh, who slammed other paper against the wooden table, but this time it was a draw.

"It's Sarah Fier." Carrie couldn't help but laugh at his words. "She's turning Shadysiders into killers."

"Do you really believe that?" Kate asked him, Carrie nodded at her words.

"Why would a witch, hear me out, a witch," Carrie retorted "create killers from burnouts? No offense to this ones." She pointed at the stack of papers from the table.

"No one actually thinks that this witch shit is real." Kate continued.

"Yeah. It's something babysitters make up to scare kids." Simon joined the two girls.

"No, no. Just listen to me." Josh interrupted them. "1666, Sarah Fier was hanged for witchcraft, fact. But ever since she was executed, she's been possessing people, turning them into killers, to take revenge on the town."

"She could've made us a favor and just burn all this shit up when she had the chance." Carrie rolled her eyes while standing up, preventing her legs to numb themselves for being to much time sitting.

Simon looked at her briefly before focusing on the pictures. "It's like the nursery rhyme."

"Yeah. Yeah.

"Before the witch's final breath, she found a way to cheat her death." Simon recited while Kate and Carrie exchanged looks. "By cutting off her cursed hand, she kept grip upon our land. She reaches from beyond the grave..."

"To make good men her wicked slaves." Carrie finished with Simon.

"Yes, exactly." Josh looked at them both with excitement. "Don't you see what's happening to us! This is all proof. Shadyside isn't just some hotbed for psychos. All these massacres are connected to Sarah Fier. The witch curse is real!"

"Fine." Kate gave in. "Let's assume that the witch has been possessing people for some sort of messed-up vendetta. This isn't the same as the mall massacre. Something different is happening to us."

"Kate is right." Carrie chimed in, standing behind her. "I have never seen this killers came back to life before, and Officer Goode assured me last night that Ryan Torres was dead! He shot him!"

"Is something way worse. Why is she so mad at us?"

"I saw her." The four of them turned around at the sound of Sam's voice, she was now in clean clothes and standing next to Deena. "Last night, I don't... I don't know, you know. I thought I hit my head... It was... It was her."

Carrie felt like she needed a break, or to faint, both were good options at that moment.
