Just Her

Chapter One

She turned around to see if someone was there. She shakes her head thinking it was her imagination. She pulls out a cigarette and lights it. She inhales and holds it in for a minute then exhales. She sighs, enjoying the high she gets from it. She knows it's a bad habit but she can't stop, it helps her get through the days. Bang! She turns around wondering what the hell was that. She starts to walk towards where the sound came from. Her heart is beating quickly and loudly.

"Hello." She calls out in the dark, no one answers her. She keeps walking towards the source. She reaches the dumpster and she see legs coming from the side. She rushes to the side. She gasps loudly. The guy didn't look human. He had horns coming out of his forehead. He has a long tail and black wings. His skin is the night sky with galaxies and his nails were claws. He had a deep gash across his chest. It's very deep and black stuff seem to be pouring for it. The man moans and moves slightly. She freezes and her heart picks up seeming as she is afraid. He opens his eyes and she gapes at him. His eyes were black, there was no white irises.

"Where am I?" The creature asks. She takes a deep breath and calms herself down to answer his question.

"You're on the planet called Earth," she answers him. He rubs his head and shakes it lightly.

"Dammit, where on Earth am I on?" He asks demanding.

"Your in Washington," she answers feeling that if she answers all of his questions, he won't hurt her. He nods his head and starts to get up. She reaches out for him and steadies him.

"Look mister, I don't know who you are or what you are, but you are hurt and need help. Why don't we go to my place so we can clean you up,''she tells him with authority in her voice. He stops and stares at her. What is wrong with this human. Doesn't she know that I'm not from here and I can be dangerous too, he thought.

"Why in the world would you do that? You don't even know me or what I am." He asks trying to figure out what is wrong with this human.

She shrugs her shoulders,"I don't know honestly. I usually don't do this, but you look like you won't accept help from hospitals. I'm pretty sure you would end up in a science lab and we don't need that."

Then they are off to her apartment which is basically around the corner. They take the steps slowly and carefully. She gets her keys out of her pocket and puts it in the keyhole. She unlocks her door and pushes it open. She half carriers and half drags him into the tiny apartment. She sets him on the couch and runs to her bathroom. She grabs the first aid-kit and runs back to the living room. She kneels down and start to get the alcohol wipes, bandages and even the thread and needle. She looks at him and see him staring at her curiously.

"What? Do I have something on my face?" She asked worriedly, wiping away any grease. He chuckles lightly and deeply. She smiles realizing she made him chuckle. He stops and starts to get uncomfortable.

He clears his throat,"No it's just you look so concentrated on the task. One would think you are doing something dangerous instead of cleaning one's wounds."

She smiles,"Oh well, I do that a lot." She gets back to the task at hand. The one cut is too deep. She gets the needle and thread ready. She starts cleaning the wound and begins to stitch it up. She glances up at him and see him with his eyes closed. Hmm, he doesn't seem to be in pain at all. I wonder what happen to him that caused these injuries. She finishes the stitches up and stands. She stretches for a second and gets the first aid kit. She goes back to the bathroom. She puts it back. She walks back to the living room to see him with his eyes closed still. Hmm, I just realized I have no idea what his name is.

She clears her throat,"Umm, so I have no idea what your name is and my name is Rize."

"Yes my name is Aamon." He says. She smiles brightly finally happy that she knows his name. She looks down at her feet.
