The Wire

Around my wrists strings
Ones that are tied so tight it stings
In knots around my heart it clings

Around both my arms and legs
It does not hear me beg
The questions all this peggs

Why do the wire's choices define me
Why won't it let me be
How do you not hear me plea
Please let me be free

Instead it ignores my cry
Threatens to make me fly
And claims I have to lie
Hiding my feelings I have to deny

I can't get rid of these wires no matter how hard I try
This wire surrounding me is on I cannot deny.
