"I'm sorry, we searched for him everywhere we can't find him," a policeman says to a middle-aged man as his fourteen-year-old nephew stands behind him barely able to stand his posture. The boy feels a large pit in his stomach at the thought of his brother being lost forever. The thought that he has lost one of the most important people to him.

"Are you sure you can't find him, he has to be somewhere in town, he likes to stay out late" The man, as worry filled his eyes.

"We looked for through all of Jigoku"

"For how long?"

"One hour"

"Officer, I don't mean to question your authority, but this is a missing child and one hour isn't enough time!"

"We are not allowed to go on patrol during the night, sir"

"Is there a chance you can send more cops to find him?"

"We are not allowed to send any more than one officer to the south side"

the boy heard the entire conversation as his sadness mixed with a bag of anger. No please, find Aido, he's my brother. Just do your damn job and find him.

"We believe that the boy has been kidnapped by human traffickers," The officer said "I am very sorry, we will continue to look for him tomorrow"

The man sighed and bowed "all right officer thank you for trying your best to find my nephew" the officer gave the man a slight nod and wished the man a good day. As soon as the officer left the man closed the door and scoffed, "for being a cop he really sucks at his job" the man said before hearing the sobs of the boy behind him. He turned around and walked closer to him.

"I-it's not fair, f-first mom and dad are gone, t-then Mitsuri is sick, and now Aido has gone missing? What did we do to deserve this?" the boy said between sobs.

The man looked at his second oldest nephew, now his eldest since the boy that used to be the elder has just gone missing. "Look Kurai, we didn't do anything. It's not our fault that your parents went missing, it's not our fault that your sister is an anemic, and it's certainly not our fault that they took away Aido".

The boy looked up at his uncle, his eyes dressed in tears "then why does it happen to us?". The man pulled his nephew into a hug.

"I don't know, but there's nothing we can do about it, all you can do now is not make the same mistakes as your brother"

...

Kurai Nagai woke up from his dream... No memory. The memory of the day his brother went missing comes back to him, even though it's already been a year. It's far from the only memory that visits him during his slumber. Many others do, many memories, good and bad ones they visit him at night. He didn't always dream of memory some times he saw things he wanted, and sometimes things he feared. Good or bad he hated dreams. He hates bad dreams because well, they are bad dreams, he hates good dreams because they're not real. The pit in his stomach from his dream remained. He looked over from his futon bed to his nightstand where he looked at his alarm clock. It was 4 in the morning, he was going to wake up in thirty minutes to go to school since the only high school in Jigoku is on the other side of town. He simply laid his head down and stared up at the ceiling hearing the sound of the busy town that was Jigoku and the violent place that was the south side of town.

"One"

He muttered to himself. It was a nightly ritual he did when he couldn't sleep or when he was awoken by a bad dream.

"Two"

The higher he went the more the memory of the dream faded. Only to remember once again when it returns.
