It was Aelin's first day on set. She was going to be playing Rachel in this new show called "F-R-I-E-N-D-S," and she was so damn nervous.
Today she was going to meet the rest of the cast. Aelin had always dreamed of acting, and her childhood dream was finally coming true.
"Mom. Dad. Sam." She whispered as she sent up a small prayer to her deceased loved ones. "Please watch over me as I try to figure out what I'm doing, and try to navigate this new world. I love you all so much, and I will try to be happy just as I know you would want me to be." A single tear fell down her cheek as she walked into the trailer marked Aelin. It's one thing to audition, but to be cast as a major character was something else completely. No one trains you for being on set, and making a good television series.
Aelin flopped onto the small sofa in her trailer and hung her head between her hands. She hadn't cried fully in 2 years, now was not an exception. She hadn't let anyone in. Not since the night that -
The door swung open and a small woman floated in.
"Hello there Miss Aelin Ashryver Galathynius." The woman was making her way towards the small closet in the back of the trailer. Aelin just stared in awe at how easily this woman made her way around her trailer. She walked back over to where Aelin was, wedding dress in one hand, and hair accessories in the other. Aelin just balked at the dress.
"Where are my manners? I'm Elide Salveterre, and I've been working here for 3 years. I am your costume director and make-up artist. My husband is an actor here as well." At the mention of her husband, Aelin noticed a blush creep up her neck and appear in her ears.
"Please Elide, call me Aelin."
"Of course," she paused as a smile spread across her face, "Aelin. Ya know, I can really see us becoming good friends." Her head turned up in thought, and a sparkle came to her eyes. Aelin couldn't help but smile too.
Elide looked to the clock, "Oh my, look at the time! If you want to be on time for your first day, we should probably get going."
Aelin nodded, greatful to get her mind focused on things that weren't flying a million miles a minute in her head.

They arrived on set and as Aelin looked around she realized that she actually knew a lot of the people from her acting class. Aelin strolled over to Dorian and pulled him into a great big hug, and they held it until Lysandra came over.
"What am I, chopped liver?" She rolled her eyes with the sassiest smirk on her face.
"Oh whatever." Aelin said hugging her too.
She looked around and her eyes met with the one man she had hoped not to see. This can't be happening. She was not ready yet. Aelin froze, and he timidly walked over to her. Aelin thought he left, but she was wrong.
"Aelin. Hey. I wasn't expecting you to be here." He couldn't even look at her, and she couldn't blame him. After everything that she had put him through ... you could still see the scar. She felt nauseous.
"How have you been Chaol?" She tried to put up a front, but it wasn't strong enough and he saw right through it.
"Meeting room now! Everyone!" That must be the director. They picked the perfect time.
In the meeting room...
Aelin looked around the room feeling very awkward. There were some people that she knew, and some that were complete strangers. The one male that caught her eye was the silver haired male with the stunning pine green eyes.

A/N :
Hey guys! This story is really difficult to write for me right now, so this is a pilot chapter. I'll continue to work on more chapters, but I'm gonna focus more on my other story "Strangers In Velaris" for right now.
I know that you guys probably hate these little notes that I leave, so I try to keep them short. This is the only way for me to keep you in the loop though with my stories.
As always, constructive criticism and comments are ALWAYS welcome!
Love y'all!
