Melody's POV
Luke and I have been together for almost 3 months now. He's been the perfect boyfriend. He hasn't touched drugs since we started dating and his partying has calmed down as well. Although he's been working harder at school he's still practicing with the band all the time.
All we had left of school was 1 more exam, and I couldn't wait to get into summer. Since our 3 month fell on the weekend I was gonna be at the cottage my mom agreed that he could come with us. That was this weekend, and there was no way I could be more excited to go away with Luke.
"So you ready for this" I asked him while we were waiting outside of our religion exam room.
"I studied for it" he replied.
"I know you did" I said running my hands up and down his arms to calm his nerves.
"I just want to get a good mark. I know you're Dad thinks I'm a bad guy and I'm not good enough for you. I just wanna to get a good mark and show them that I am" he replied.
"You'll be fine, you don't have to worry about impressing my Dad. Just try your best" I said back as the teacher swung the door to the exam room open.
"Good luck, you'll do fine" I said going up on my toes with him leaning down for a light kiss.
That was one of my favorite parts about kissing him. He was so tall that he had to bend down, and I don't know, I just felt like I was something special that he was going out of his was for.
After an hour and a half we were done the exam. I was done first and then waited for him down in the caf.
"See not bad at all" I said as he walked over and sat down next to me.
"That was brutal" he replied.
"What'd you get for the one with the symbols" I asked.
"B I think" he replied.
"Luke it so obviously A" I said matter of factly.
"Oh sh*t" he said putting his head in his hands.
"Calm down I'm just kidding, it was B" I laughed.
"Mel don't do that" he said pushing me playfully.
"I'm sorry" I pouted "will you still drive me home".
"Only cause I like you" he answered "and cause you have to pack because we're going on vacation".
We stood up and walked towards where his mom had pulled up.
"You know this isn't a luxury resort right" I asked "like it's probably the size of 3 of my bedrooms, and there's no running water".
"I know, you've warned me" he replied "I'm just excited to go somewhere with you".
I got in the car and we rode over to my house talking about school stuff with his mom and how Luke thought the exams went. When we arrived at my house Luke gave me the typical cheek kiss before I got out.
"See you tomorrow night at 7" he said out the window as they backed out.
"See you then" I waved to him as the car drove off.
I quickly went inside to start packing my bag for our trip. We're leaving on a Friday night and coming back on a Tuesday night. That's 4 days, so that's gonna require like 6 bikinis right. I'm such a heavy packer it's unbelievable.
Tuesday was Canada Day and my mom got really into it this year. She bought all the kids shirts, that included Luke. Me and my 9 year old cousin had grey tanks that said "Kiss Me I'm Canadian" and Luke and my 13 year old cousin had grey T-shirts that said Canada with a wolf on them. Mine and Luke's of coarse had to get packed in my bag. I thought it was adorable that we were all gonna match, and I was happy that she included Luke in the plan too.
Next I packed my sweatpants and one of Luke's hoodies. I also packed 3 tank tops, 2 t-shirts, and 3 pairs of shorts. And of coarse essentials like my toiletry bag, makeup, hair bands, underwear, and bras.
My mom said that the car had to get packed with everything except the food the night before. I carried my bag out and put it in the trunk of our SUV. I also threw a light jacket into the back just incase it rained.
