Dear caterpillar,
Look around,
Huge green brown buildings
Oppressing you.
Look around,
You can't see anything.
Nothing would let your gaze through.
Look around,
You're encaged in your own mother earth.
Look up,
The butterflies are happier,
There where no danger can burst.
There where your happiness can't be cursed.
Look at you :
The fireflies are brighter,
The birds are prettier,
The dragonflies are faster.
You just wish you could be different, right ?
You know you should be..
Hey look yall ! He blacked out ! You're reborn !
Where did these wings come from ?!
These stunning colors, all these powers ?!
No, no, it's not right.. Why are still :
The sun brighter,
The moon prettier,
And the wind faster ?
Why aren't you perfect enough yet ?
Changing was useless,
You should have stayed the same,
You should've loved yourself.
As a catterpillar.
You were beautiful, you know ?
But now ?
You just can't be any weirder. More different.
So i'll just assume you're wearing a fake dangerous costume,
Because you can't exist. You don't exist.
A caterpillar can't just become a happy gorgeous butterfly.
Stabs and kisses,
Your very dear open minded society that accepts you the way you are.
//
Your insecurities and anxieties that will haunt you until you realise
How gorgeous, perfect and real you've always been.
