Chapter Three

So there we were sitting in the Principles office getting told off for fighting on our first day, Max, Lisa and I sat the as quietly as we could, sulking in our seats as Juni talked to the Principle. It was a unspoken rule between us that if we ever got in trouble then Juni would be the only allowed to speak because adults seem to like him and he was the most mature of the 4 of us.

"Yes sir we understand and I guarantee that nothing like this will ever happen again" Juni said.

"That's good! I'm holding you to that Mr De Luca, I don't know about the other schools you have been to but that kind of behaviour is not accepted here!"

"We know! It will never happen again."

"Good, well since this is your first day at school I'm going to let you off with a warning but if any of you do anything like this ever again you will be kicked out faster than you can blink! Understood?" we nodded "good, now I've called your parents but I couldn't get a hold of them so I left them a message explaining the situation. There isn't much point of you staying in school so you should make your way home."

With that we got up and walked out of the door and past the four juice heads that had started the fight with us, the one that was wrestling with Juni watched us walk past with a smirk evident on his face so I did the one thing that was only natural. I pulled the stupidest face I could and in response he just raised his eyebrow, none of them looked like they'd been in a fight but on the other hand none of us did either , I turned on my heel and marched to the car.

"Cover for us?" Max asked "We wanna go explore the new town and once mum and dad hear about this we won't be allowed out for a while."

"Sure" Juni answered getting in the car and I followed suit, I buckled in and turned in my seat.

"Let's-"my eyes went wide "HOLEY MOLEY!" I exclaimed.

"What?" he raised his eyebrow.

"Wow" I breathed "he got you good, does it hurt?" I said as I poked the read bump on his jaw.

"Ouch!" he swatted my hand away "yes, now stop poking it!"

"Juni?"

"Yes?" he sighed tiredly.

"Next time you decided to get into a fight, don't."

"Gladly! You know I hate violence."

"And any other physical activity" we both laughed as he started the car and drove back home. Once at home I went straight to the kitchen and looked through the newly filled freezer and pulled out a pack of frozen peas and threw it towards Juni who caught it straight away and placed it on his jaw slightly wincing as he did so. I opened the fridge and pulled out 2 bottles of water and set one down in front of Juni and then I opened up my own one and taking a long drink, I was THIRSTY!

"So watcha wanna do?" I asked.

"I dunno" he sighed shrugging "but I'm super tired."

"So let's go watch a movie!" I suggested.

"Sure" he smiled; I skipped up the stairs with Juni following behind with the pack of peas firmly on his face, I pushed my door open and went over to my shelf of movies and just picked one up randomly and put it into the DVD player. Juni kicked off his shoes and got comfy on my bed and I jumped on and sat beside him leaning on the headboard. The movie started and I realised it was cheaper by the dozen, I LOVE THIS MOVIE!

Half way through the movie I realised that Juni was too quiet, I mean we usually talked through movies, like non-stop but he wasn't even laughing and there is no way you can sit through this movie and not laugh! I frowned and turned my head towards him to see he was beyond knocked out and the bag of peas was still on his face, I picked the peas off his face and covered him with the duvet before jumping off the bed and turning the movie off. I closed the curtains so he could sleep peacefully and went downstairs closing the door behind me.

I sighed as I plopped down onto the sofa, this sucked! I wanted to spend time with my best friend but it didn't seem like it was going to happen today, I heaved another sigh and turned the TV on and began flicking through the channels, damn you have got to hate daytime TV! It totally sucks! I just sat there and watched old people TV shows for like an hour until the normal kid shows came on.

"OH MY GOD!" Juni shouted as he rushed down the stairs, I turned in my seat and looked at him, confused, over the back of the sofa "Why didn't you wake me up?!" he shouted and it kinda hurts because I was trying to do something nice for him.

"You were tired..." I said quietly scared he might shout again.

"Well now I'm going to be late!" his phone rang and he picked up "hey" he listens for a bit "Yes! I know, I know! I just fell asleep I'll be there in like 10 minutes!" and he put it down, pulling his shoes on.

"Where are you going?" I asked getting out of my seat.

"I have to go and meet someone."

"Who?"

"Don't worry about it ok? I'll see you later" he kissed me on the forehead and started to leave.

"But you said we could hang out the whole day today!" I shouted after him.

"I'm sorry! Another time I swear!" he shouted back as he climbed into his car, he sent me an apologetic smile as he turned the car on and drove off, I just stood there watching him leave behind dust and as his car disappeared I just stood there.
